So if you have a reasonable waiting period for your boating trip to start you may vist the Hill View Park which is around 1.5 Kms from the ticket counter if you are with family or kids.
The boating trip will last around 30 mins. You will be provided with a life jacket. If you have kids who are less than 5 to 7 years old, it is difficult to wear jacket for them. So if you already have something which fits them you can bring it with you. The boating is generally safe. You are not allowed to stand or walk once the boat leaves the shore.
You get a scenic view of Cheruthoni dam, Idukki Arch dam, Vysali Caves. The one with the shutter is the Cherthoni dam.
