Even though the trek to the top may be moderately difficult, the view from the top is spellbinding. The entire trek is close to 30 minutes for a fit person. I suggest you to make the climb by 5.30 in the morning to see the sunrise. This is surely the best time to make the climb - partly because you won't feel too tired and partly because you will find a pristine nature that is waking upto another beautiful day. Moreover the view, with slow floating fog beneath you enveloping the noises of birds and animals makes you feel like you are trapped in a magic symphony. When you climb down, do take time to sip a hot morning tea (and noodles if you are a noodles-from-the-mountains person) from the shop downhill, they serve good food which is not overpriced like other...

An adorable sunset point and a super-scenic viewpoint at the heart of Wayanadu- a simple explanation of Kaduvakuzhi can be like this. Nicely set on the premises of Karapuzha dam in Ambalavayal village, this viewpoint offers one way to explore the nearby cave that is believed to have housed tigers inside it. Local lore is that it is the cave that gifted the name “Kaduvakuzhi” to this place as “tiger” refers to “kaduva” in Malayalam. Just as the name implies, this place is a little bit dangerous- not because of any tigers, but the tall cliffs that one has to traverse while on the trek. Definitely, it is one of the best sunset points across Kerala for a rejuvenation searcher. This viewpoint is part of Cheengeri rock adventure Tourism...

There are several small yet mesmerizing viewpoints on the trek from ambalavayal to kaduvakuzhi. What appealed to me the most was the actual 'kaduvakuzhi 'or tiger's den/hole, which most people pass on.

Unlike dens we see in cartoons, kaduvakuzhi is a rather deep indention in the earth where the only light in is a single strand of sunlight entering from the cave mouth. A small stream pools into the cave and light falling on it is hypnotic. A local resident named Anandan told me that a tiger used to visit that cave during winter as recent as...

It was very good experience of trucking.. never thought this much beautiful place it's. I haven't heard about this place until I reach the nearest place of this. Even I didn't find this place in Google top list of visiting place in wayanad. I think it's most underrated place. Trucking is fun. They have kept white color flag each point we need to follow the flag. And the road climbing is bir scare but it's funny when we're going as group. My suggestion is go by group. Happy trucking..!
