This one of the most beautiful temples in Alappuzha. Kanichukulangara Temple is located in Kanichukulangara at Cherthala South, Alappuzha District, Kerala State, India. This temple is very famous in Hindu religious and Ezhava caste. A very serene temple in Cherthala, Alappuzha. The temple is historical. The goddess Bhadrakali is the deity of this temple. The Kanichukurangara Temple is renowned for its numerous ancient mythologies. For instance, the temple's history includes a fascinating tale of how the deity arrived from another state. Legend has it that the deity's journey involved a ship that broke, leading a Brahmin to place the deity at the temple, which eventually became known as Kanichukurangara.

The temple staff were really courteous. Good Atmosphere and Good parking. There is ample parking space and there are lots of spaces for people to stay during the Chithira festival.

This is such a beautiful place and the ambience here was superb. We are glad to stay here, The festival held here was spectacular and don't miss it. The fireworks in festival time is awesome and Garudan thookam is also a feast to eyes.

Kanichukulangara Devi Temple is situated in Cherthala. It's one of the crowded temples during Festival seasons. This temple is having some specialties. Especially 'Chikara'. Chikara is a kind of Bhajan, only for the kids. During the Festival, this temple is having more than 3000 Chikkara kuttikals... 'Unda Puzhukku' is also one of the famous poojas here. Devotees will come and make unda or do 'Ponkala' here. Almost every temple, ponkala is done on the 7th day after Utsav. But here anyone can come and do it any day. Daily Ponkala is the main attraction here. It's one of the biggest temples in Cherthala. A hearty welcome to all of you. 😊💐🌷
