We were lucky enough to have a two hour cruise on a motor boat on the lake and surrounding backwaters. What a stunning place this is! Beautiful scenery and plenty of birdlife. Even though the traffic on the water is heavy with so many houseboats it is still a very peaceful , tranquil area to visit. It gives a good insight into the way of life of the local people as you can see where they live and them going about their daily business. They are all so happy and friendly - a wonderful trip !!
