Nice and peaceful environment. Had went there with my friends, but thelighthouse was closed. So i didnt get a chance to explore it. This is the place next to the light house. A beautiful view to the sunset and sea from the top of the sand hills was a good experience. Nobody will bother you here. We went there at 5 o clock in the evening, i think thatsthe reason why the light house was closed. If you go there and the lighthouse is seen to be closed don't worry, there are much more to explore and enjoy your evening at kovilthottam.

You can see KMML, IRE, KMML MS Plant, Kattil mekkathil temple, Neendakara, Amruthananthamayi madam, Chavara bridge and Kovithottam church from the top of light house. The lighthouse and the surroundings are neat and clean. There is no coffee shop or any refreshment facilities available nearby. Toilet facility available in the lighthouse compound.
