One of the best beaches in Kochi. > The beach is neat and clean. > It's open as of 18th Sept 2021 > There are a couple of shops for quick bite snacks, juices and for clothes. > There was also a bajji shop (4 months back) but haven't noticed the same this time. > There is parking available and it costs approximate ₹20 but there isn't much facilities provided for that much amount. > The washrooms/toilets were closed for maintenance during our visit. > The way to beach is quite nice with water on each side (looks like fish farming) and makes a good place for clicking some photos. The beach itself is one of the better maintained ones in Ernakulam. The water is good (not so blue) and there is only moderate crowd other than weekends and holidays. The beach area itself is quite large and we can easily play with the water one to two metres into the beach. There are no protective walls and the sea seems to be eating quite a bit into the beach area. There are also trees which i guess is pine trees and sitting under the same makes for a comfortable place for people to talk and gives a good view of the beach as well. Finally, > There seems to be no dustbins provided. > The beach is kind of located outside the city and is a good 1 hr journey from Edappally. A very good place to be in after your busy workday and is worth spending every second there...!!

It was beautiful beach.. 35kms by bike from Fort Kochi..!! This is not a regular beach as most prefer cherai over it, but I loved it anyways..!! The road to the beach is absolutely gorgeous flanked by fish farms on both sides.. The day I visited was just perfect, as it rained that day as you can see in the pictures.. Due to which there are not many of that day.. As I was on bike..!! Though because of which I had privilege to dive in waves for a good two hours.. Without worrying over harsh sunlight!! The beach is shallow, allowing you to go far from beach still not in that deep waters, the occasional big waves let you have ride of your life.. Even though I don't know much of swimming, I pretty much enjoyed it!! But beware and be safe as there's no life guard there to protect you (but that's y no restrictions on how deep you go!!) There's pay and use bathroom nearby to clean up!! Not much of shops though.. It's still untouched by commercialisation, so do visit before that happens!! Overall great experience!!
