An amazing view point near the city the view from here is awesome. Paved pathway is given towards the viewpoint. A bamboo bridge or path is there which takes us to the top of the hill from where you can sit and enjoy a 360 view. A children's park and a toilet has been provided no other refreshments other than a local shop near by the entry. Calm place to visit with family. a very good place to spend evening time for kids and family. It is one of the rush free space inside the city having plenty of green and also a clean place. consists of children's park and restaurant with snacks and juices . Children's park is really good especially for small kids, compared to other parks in trivandrum. An excellent picnic spot, children will surely enjoy as there is play and children park. But reaching the location will be a little tough. Away from the hustle-bustle of the city, in a tiny sleepy hamlet, experience Thiruvananthapuram’s ancient natural attraction, Madavoorpara, in an all-new way!

A lesser-known pristine destination situated 300 feet above sea level, Madavoorpara is a favourite with pilgrims and tourists. The place is noted for its cave temple and Bamboo Bridge.

History sleeps in the rock-cut Shiva Temple here that dates back to the 9th Century CE. The rock shrine currently under the protection of the Department of Archaeology has a pillar with inscriptions in Vattezhuthu, the ancient Malayalam script. The temple has attracted the attention of researchers and culture enthusiasts with its archaeological and historical significance.

The place seemed really isolated. Since the sun is much brighter at this time of the year and the place being a rock view point people do really hesitate to come here. But let me tell you it's awesome. Let it be the view or the wind in your face it's just wonderful. It has a series of resting spots made of bamboo which has a very good wind flow and also the view. The place is situated near to kazhakootam. Getting to the place from the main road can be tricky as proper hoardings are yet to be put up. Also the road is in a bit of a bad condition. But the tourism board is working to get the road tarred. You do have to get a ticket though. But considering a ticket of 10₹ for this place, it's cheap. If you plan on visiting please do so in the evening. I would suggest mornings, but the bamboo bridge which is a major attraction of the place will not be opened in the mornings. It would be better to visit in a two wheeler as parking facilities are yet to be constructed. Many people living in Trivandrum are unaware of such a place. If you do live in Trivandrum this must be a place on your...

Nestled away from the usual tourist trails, 'Madavoorpara' is truly a hidden gem that promises tranquility and breathtaking views. I recently had the pleasure of discovering this spot, and it exceeded all my expectations. The place also engages your kids with the essential play area including a slider and a swing. Scenic Beauty: The panoramic views from the top are simply stunning. The lush greenery, combined with the serene atmosphere, makes it a perfect spot for nature lovers. The sunrise/sunset here is a sight to behold, with the sky painted in hues of orange and pink, casting a magical glow over the landscape. Tips for Visitors: Best Time to Visit: Early morning or late afternoon for the best light and cooler temperatures. Respect Nature: As always, remember to leave no trace. Carry out all your trash and respect the wildlife. Parking: The place lacks parking facilities where we need to park along the roadside.

Serene place to spend early mornings or evenings. Thanks to the authorities for the recent revivals made to the facilities here. 2 entrances - one near Kalladichavila and the other one near to the cave temple . Open from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm Monday holiday. Ideal time to come here is either in the morning or in the evening ( at around 5 pm) considering the hot sun. It has an amphitheatre, Kundumbasree cafe (10 am -6:30 pm), babmoo bridge that leads to the topmost view point, a couple of thatched open huts to sit and relax. Authorities should advertise it in a better way to attract more people. All together a calm and quiet place to spend your evening seeing the sun set. Still a lot of untapped potential to convert to an even better place . Free car parking, near the Kalladichavila entrance .

A must-visit destination if you're looking for a peaceful yet energizing getaway with family and friends. This mountain top location offers stunning panoramic views, you can see the entire surrounding area from here! The fresh air and calm environment truly uplift your mood and energy levels. The place is well-maintained and ideal for all age groups. There’s a cafeteria where you can grab snacks and refreshments, and parks for children to play around safely. It’s a great spot to relax, click pictures, and spend quality time. An added bonus is no entry fee! Just make sure to plan your visit on any day except Monday, as the place is closed on Mondays. It's managed under the Kerala Government, and you can really see the effort in keeping the place clean and tourist-friendly.
