The temple is situated in picturesque surroundings of hills and valleys and arecanut plantations. Devotees have to pass through a large gopuram and a wide hall (Vasudeva mantapam) before entering the inner courtyard from where devotees could have darshan of the Goddess. Facing the sanctum sanctorum are a Garudapeetha and a Dhwajasthamba.
