Went twice. First time was afternoon on the way back from somewhere. It was almost deserted, so easy to find a seat in a shady spot overlooking the water in a welcome breeze. Very pleasant. Added advantage of public toilets and nice food from a place near the entrance. So we went back one morning, intending to stay longer. On that occasion it was chock full of younger couples in every nook and cranny. Every good spot taken. Most not-so-good spots also taken. And they hung around for hours while even more couples filed in. It was almost funny. I am not criticising. It can't be easy to find somwhere relatively quiet and relaxed to spend time together. I would do the same if I were them. I suppose we WERE doing the same, just 40 years older than most. I can't say whether we were unlucky with the day itself or just the time of day. Its a small dam constrctd across managalam river which is a tributary of bharathappuzha.. bus service is there frm Vadakknchrry via Mudapallr nd also via Kizhakknchry. It is aprox 10KM far from Mudapallur town...
Overll gooood place...it required renovation to provide all basic facilities... vast area is thre to devlop a botanical garden nd to setup a standrd...
