From first this place is located on the way to Palakkad-Kozhikode highway it is situated at a distance of 35 kms from Palakkad. In a place called Moonnekkar you can see a canal passing under the bridge following the canal via the roads located besides them leads you to the forest. From now you should drive 4 kms ahead in a single straight road to the falls checkpost, just for ticket collection, no police checking. From the checkpost move a little distance to park the vehicle, Note: bike, car, omni, travels can even go inside that road it is good for a bus to go in that road. Then the trekking part just walking up the slope for 1.5kms we can reach the power station, where students are allowed if they have the prior permission. I visited the power station with the letter. Then walk a little distance behead the station to reach the water falls. This falls is a single stream of water overflowing from the upperdam in the hill which provides water for the 8 town around palakkad. This falls has a pool of water which is 10-15 foot deep and 2 foot shallow. This place is very save. NOTE: AS PER THE GOVERNMENT NORMS THE POWER STATION HAS 2 UNITS WHICH IS A SOURCE OF POWER FOR THE ENTIRE TOWN, SO THE WATER FROM THE UPPER DAM IS DIVERTED TO THE POWER STATION IN WEEKDAYS WHILE THE POWER STATION REMAINS OFF DURING SUNDAYS AND SATURDAYS.
