A very powerful temple. You are not allowed to say the name of the Devi after noon. In one peedam both Siva & Devi are there. Normally temple opens only on sankrama days. But during Mandalakalam temple is opened on all 41 days. There are two festivals in the year . One in Medamasam( April 14th to May 14) the other one at the end of mandalakalam. The Devi is powerful that if you pray wholeheartedly She is there to protect you. In olden days (British days) even at the court at Tellicherry they didn’t take case from these places as you can not tell the name Mundayamparambu in the noon. The scenery around the temple is so beautiful. Devi saranam! Usually the temple is very crowded.

Mundayaamparamb Temple in Iritty is a serene place of worship surrounded by lush greenery. The temple's peaceful ambiance and traditional. A visit to Mundayaamparamb Temple offers a peaceful retreat and a glimpse into the local religious traditions.
