Panniyoor Varaha Moorthy Temple — Attraction in Kerala

Sri Varahamurthy, the reigning God of Kerala’s renowned village Panniyur, was worshipped as the Supreme GOD of Kerala. Varaha is the Avatar of the GOD Vishnu in the form of a boar. Varaha is listed as third in the Dashavatara, the ten principal avatars of Vishnu. This temple is more than 4000 years old. As per Lord Vishnu’s advice, Parashuram had established Sri Varahamurthy at the centre of his land fragment and had built a temple to house it. He had also duly initiated all worship activities there. It is that divine temple which is the Panniyur Mahakshetram of today. In the Sreekovil you can see Main Deity, Sri VarahaMoorthy along with Bhoomi Devi. Other Deities near to Sreekovil are “Sri Kundil VarahaMoorthy”, Sri LakshmiNarayanaSwamy, and Sri Ganapathy. Outside the main Sreekovil, this temple also houses and worships Updevatas like Sri Shiva (‘Vadakovil’), Sri Dharma Sastha, Sri Durgabhagavathy.

Perunthachan Perunthachan’s Chisel and Rod, are being carefully preserved over period of years at Panniyur Mahakshetram and are still available. Behind the main Sreekovil, there is a place marked with a board where Perunthachan’s Chisel is preserved. You could feel the chisel by running your fingers at the place. In front of the Sreekovil, on the side of Dhyanamandapam, Perunthachan’s measuring road can be seen marked in yellow colour.

Special Pooja “Bhoomi Pooja” and “Abheeshtta Sidhi Pooja” are the special poojas in this temple for SriVarahaMoorthy.

As per believers, anyone can get back his lost property, if one offers Prayers at this temple. Even all problems related to your land or house will be completely solved if you offer “Bhoomi Pooja” to SriVarahaMoorthy. You need to bring one handful of earth collected from the four corners of your property to this temple and offer “Bhoomi Pooja”. Once this is done, all obstacles about your property will get cleared, is what believers say.

SriVarahaMoorthy fulfills your wishes also if you offer “Abheeshtta Sidhi Pooja”. You need to book this Pooja in advance. You can call the temple office one day in advance and provide your name and star. This Pooja is done around 10 am every day. Temple is open every day from 5:30 am to 10:30 am and 5 pm to 8 pm.

The temple is situated in a 6 acre land and it was in ruins. Now, with dedicated efforts from the temple management team, it is being resurrected and many renovations are being done. Kudos, to the management team. I overheard the words of one person explaining to a group of people about the efforts put by them.

Temple is situated in Kumbidi village in Palakkad district of Kerala. It is an extremely serene place with beautiful views all around. The greenery all around is very pleasing to your eyes and the air is pure and you will feel refreshed. On all Sundays, breakfast is provided to all devotees free of cost (Anna Daanam). You can donate for Anna Daanam and cost is about Rs.3000/-...

The Panniyur Sri Varahamurthy Temple is an ancient Hindu temple complex situated at Kumbidi, Palakkad district of Kerala, India. This Temple is believed to be the first temple in Kerala consecrated by Parasuramanearly 4000 years ago.

This temple is the only one in Kerala to worship the ‘Varaha’ avatar of Shri Vishnu. This temple also houses and worhips Updevtas like Sri Shiva(‘Vadakovil’), Sri Ayyappa, Sri Durgabhagavathy, Sri Ganapathy, Sri Subramanya and Sri Lakshmi Narayan. This temple is also said to have the blessings of Chitragupta and Yakshi. This temple also has a stage and a huge ground to accommodate spectators. The legendary ‘Panniyur thura’ is located just to the North of the Mahakshetra. It is believed that the fishpond constructed by Parashuram used to be located just a little south of the temple.

Among the different pujas conducted here the most important one happens to be the ‘Abhishta Sidhdhi Puja’. This puja is believed to pave way for ‘Abhishta Karya Sidhdhi’.

This puja is booked in advance till a long time into the future. Yet with due consideration to those who visit this temple, 3 days in a week have been earmarked for the conduct of this puja immediately or as soon as can be managed for all such devotees.

ஆலய அமைப்பு :

⭐மிகவும் புராதானமான ஆலயம் சிதலமடைந்து விட்டிருந்த ஆலயத்தை கடும் முயற்சியால் மீட்டு எடுத்து, தற்போது புதிய பொலிவுடன் ஆலயம் சுமார் 6 ஏக்கர் பரப்பில், அழகிய பசுமையான இயற்கை சூழலில் பெரிய வளாகத்தில் அமைந்துள்ளது.

⭐மூலவர் தவிர, சிவன் வட கோவில் என்று வழங்கப்படும் தனிக் கோயிலில் உள்ளார். அய்யப்பன் (தர்ம சாஸ்தா), துர்க்கா பகவதி, கனபதி, சுப்பிரமணியர், லெட்சுமி நாராயணர், சித்திரகுப்தார், வராகி, யக்ஷி முதலிய தெய்வங்களுக்கும் தனித்தனி சன்னதிகளும் உண்டு.

⭐பெருந்தச்சன் மிகச்சிறந்த கட்டிடக்கலை நிபுனர் ; இந்தக் கோவில் கட்டியதும், தன்னுடைய ஆயுதங்களை மறைத்து விட்டார்.

⭐பெருந்தச்சனின் உளி மற்றும் முழக்கோல் என்ற அளவுகோல் மிகவும் பத்திரமாக இங்கு கருவறை பின்புறத்திலும், தியான மண்டபத்தின் அருகிலும் பாதுகாப்புடன் வைத்துள்ளனர். முழக்கோல் என்ற அளவுகோள் மஞ்சள் வண்ணத்தால் அடையாளப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது

சிறப்பு பூசைகள்: பலவேறு பூசைகள் நடைபெற்று வருகின்றன.

அபிஷக காரிய சித்தி பூஜை: ‘Abhishta Sidhdhi Puja’. (எல்லா காரியங்களும் சித்தியாகும்) காரியசித்தி அபிஷேக பூசை தினமும் காலையில் சுமார் 10 மணி அளவில் நடைபெறும் மிகவும் சிறப்பு. மூன்று நாள் முன்னதாகப் பதிவு செய்யப்பட வேண்டும். சந்தன காப்பு அலங்காரம் மிகவும் சிறப்பு

மாங்கல்ய பூசை - தினமும் மாலையில் நடைபெறுகிறது.

பூமி பூசை “Bhoomi Pooja " -

வசிக்கும் வீட்டின், அல்லது நிலத்தின் நான்கு மூலையிலிருந்து பூமி மன் கைப்பிடி அளவு எடுத்துக் கொண்டு வந்து இவ்வாலயம் வந்து, பூமி பூசை செய்ய வேண்டும். இழந்த பொருள் திரும்ப கைகூட, நிலம், பொருள் சம்பந்தமாக பூமி பூசை ஶ்ரீ வராகருக்கு செய்தால் நிச்சயம் பலன் உண்டு.

🌟கும்பிடி - எடப்பால் சாலையிலிருந்து 100 மீட்டர் தூரத்தில் ஆலயம் உள்ளது. பாலக்காட்டில் காலை 7.30 க்கு நேரடி பேருந்துள்ளது. நடை திறந்திருக்கும் நேரங்கள். காலை 5.30 - 10.30 மற்றும், மாலை 5-8 இந்த ஆலயம் சிறுகிராமம். ஆலயம் அருகில் எந்தவித வியாபார கடை யும் கிடையாது. 10, 8.24 சுப்ராம்....
