Parappukad Sri Mahadevi Temple is one of the rare temples where Sri Mahadev and Durga Devi reside in the same sanctuary in the concept of Umamaheswara. The huge idols of Lord Rama and Lord Hanuman are another special feature of this temple.

This temple is located at Mamunda in Karukachal panchayat of Kottayam district. This temple can be reached by traveling one kilometer south from Shantipuram junction on Changanassery - Mallapally road.

#ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരി_പരപ്പുകാട് #ശ്രീ_മഹാദേവീക്ഷേത്രം❣️🌹🌹 നമ്മുടെ ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരിയില്‍ തമിഴ് നാട്ടിലെ മഹാ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളെ പോലെ തന്നെ മനോഹരമായ രീതിയില്‍ നിര്‍മ്മിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന അതി മനോഹരമായ ഒരു ദേവീ ക്ഷേത്രമുണ്ടന്നുള്ള കാര്യം പലര്‍ക്കും അറിയില്ലാന്നാണ് തോന്നുന്നത്. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിനു സമീപം താമസിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ സഹപ്രവര്‍ത്തകര്‍ പറഞ്ഞാണ് ഞാനും ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് അറിയുന്നത്. പുറമേ നിന്നു നോക്കിയാലും അകത്തുകയറി കണ്ടാലും തമിഴ്നാട്ടിലെ പ്രസിദ്ധമായ മഹാക്ഷേത്രങ്ങള്‍ക്കൊപ്പം തന്നെ സ്ഥാനം ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിനും നമ്മള്‍ നല്‍കും. അത്രക്ക് മനോഹരമായ രീതിയില്‍ തന്നാണ് ക്ഷേത്രവും ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ ഉള്‍ഭാഗങ്ങളും നിര്‍മ്മിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. മധുര മീനാക്ഷിയമ്മന്‍ കോവില്‍, തെങ്കാശി വിശ്വനാഥര്‍ കോവില്‍ തുടങ്ങിയ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളുടെ പ്രധാന ഗോപുരത്തിന്റെ അത്രയും ഉയരമൊന്നും ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ പ്രധാന ഗോപുരത്തിനു വരുകയില്ലെങ്കിലും ഉയരത്തിന്റെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ ഒട്ടും മോശവുമല്ല. നമ്മുടെ ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരി താലൂക്കിലെ കറുകച്ചാല്‍ ഗ്രാമ പഞ്ചായത്ത് അതിര്‍ത്തിയില്‍ വരുന്ന ശാന്തിപുരത്താണ് മാമുണ്ട പരപ്പുകാട് ശ്രീമഹാദേവീ ക്ഷേത്രം ഉള്ളത്. ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം പരപ്പുകാട് കുടുംബത്തിന്റെ വകയാണ്.പതിമൂന്ന് വര്‍ഷം കൊണ്ടാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ നിര്‍മ്മാണം പൂര്‍ത്തിയായതെന്ന് അറിയാന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞു. കുടുംബ പ്രശ്നം വച്ചപ്പോള്‍ ഒരു മഹാദേവി സാനിധ്യം ഉണ്ടന്നും ഒരു ക്ഷേത്രം നിര്‍മ്മിക്കണമെന്നും ഉള്ള പ്രശ്ന നിര്‍ദേശത്താല്‍ ആണ് ഏകദേശം 15കോടി രൂപക്ക് മുകളില്‍ ചിലവാക്കി ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം നിര്‍മ്മിച്ചതെന്ന് പറയുന്നു. 2ഏക്കര്‍ സ്ഥലത്തായാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം നിര്‍മ്മിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. ക്ഷേത്ര പ്രധാന ഗോപുരത്തിന്റെ ഉയരം 82 അടിയാണ്. പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠാ വിഗ്രഹം ഒറ്റക്കല്ലില്‍ കൊത്തിയെടുത്തിട്ടുള്ളതാണ്. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിനുള്ളില്‍ നിരവധി ദേവതാ പ്രതിഷ്ഠകളും ഉണ്ട്. കൂട്ടത്തില്‍ വളരെ വലുതും ഉയരം കൂടിയതുമായ ശ്രീരാമ ദേവന്റേയും,ശ്രീ ഹനുമാന്റേയും പ്രതിഷ്ഠകള്‍ പ്രത്യേക ആകര്‍ഷണമാണ്. തമിഴ് സ്റ്റൈലിലുള്ള രീതിയില്‍ ആണ് ക്ഷേത്രം നിര്‍മ്മിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതെങ്കിലും ആചാരങ്ങള്‍ എല്ലാം തന്നേയും കേരളീയ രീതിയില്‍ തന്നാണ്. ചെങ്കോട്ടു കൊണം ശ്രീ സത്യാനന്ദ സരസ്വതി സ്വാമികളുടെ മേല്‍നോട്ടത്തിലായിരുന്നു ക്ഷേത്ര നിര്‍മ്മാണം.വാസ്തു പ്രകാരമുള്ള കാര്യങ്ങളെല്ലൊം ശ്രീ കാണിപ്പയ്യൂര്‍ കൃഷ്ണന്‍ നമ്പുതിരിയും ആയിരുന്നു നോക്കിയിരുന്നത്. തമിഴ് നാട്ടിലെ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളുടെ ഫീല്‍ തരുന്ന ഈ മനോഹരമായ പരപ്പുകാട് ശ്രീമഹാദേവീക്ഷേത്രം നമ്മുടെ തൊട്ടടുത്തുള്ളപ്പോള്‍ അത് ഒന്നു പോയി സന്ദര്‍ശിക്കുക എന്നത് വിശ്വാസികള്‍ക്കും അല്ലാത്തവര്‍ക്കും അതുപോലെ മനോഹരങ്ങളായ വിവിധ ആരാധനാലയങ്ങളുടെ കാഴ്ചകള്‍ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നവര്‍ക്കും ഒരുപോലെ മനസില്‍ സന്തോഷമുണ്ടാക്കുന്ന കാര്യം തന്നാണ്. പരപ്പുകാട് മഹാദേവി ക്ഷേത്രം മധ്യകേരളത്തിൽ മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന തമിഴ് ശൈലിയിലുള്ള വാസ്തുവിദ്യാ വിസ്മയം തന്നാണെന്നുള്ളതില്‍ യാതൊരു സംശയവുമില്ല.👌👌 ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരി ടൗണില്‍ നിന്നും ഏതാണ്ട് 12കിലോമീറ്ററില്‍ താഴെയാണ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലേക്കുള്ള...
