Pathangayam Water Falls, Narangathod — Attraction in Kerala

After feeling connected to the Nature, I started exploring the fabulous surroundings of my home town, and this place satisfied my soul. The rocks were slippery, be careful. And there are several people had died here. I visited there on a sunday, while having a quality time at the natural pool, suddenly a bunch of cops showed up. One of them warned us about the chances of flash flooding as it was raining in the forest. That's fine and everyone obeyed him. Another officer appeared with a swiping machine with him and we thought he will impose fine 👎. I drove my two wheeler to very near to pool and there were many other two wheelers also parked there. And the officers checked the documents of these specific two wheelers and each and every one of us were charged for various reasons 😂. They told us we're trespassing. But there were no sign boards related to parking at the trails except some 'be careful' sign boards. So my review of a beautiful place ending without a good photo 😶. If you are planning to visit, please make sure that you are not parking it very close to the pool and be clear that all of your documents are valid. The place and route deserve 5 stars, not the authorities. As this place is notorious for the accidents happened there, you can expect people of different types judging you, questioning the genuinity of your wanderlust alter ego 😂. Be a responsible traveller. A place without entry fee and a security guard, means a place for the local thugs and other hypocrites...

Pathangayam Water Falls, also known as Narangathod is a local unwinding destination located in Kodanchery village, Kozhikode. Many people come here to swim and dive. By view, the place is beautiful as heaven. You can see bed surface through water. The greenery besides the rocky area will make the snap more beautiful.

Travelers should be careful as there are people who have drowed in this place. Localites state that most of the water accidents reported in the area were caused by hidden caves and whirlpools which cannot be spotted from land. It is commonly observed that people who enter the water to swim often slip and fall into these caves or get trapped in the whirlpools. There are plenty of small and big caves present in the river.

At a distance of 36 Kms from Kalpetta, 50 Kms from Kozhikode & 10 Kms from Kodencheri, Pathankayam Waterfalls on Eruvanhippuzha River is located near Nellipoyil (2 Kms), in Thiruvambadi panchayat of Kozhikode district.

This waterfall is close to the main road and needs little trekking to reach the fall from the road. The falls can be reached via Kodencheri or Nellipoyil. This place has little public transportation and it is recommended to hire private vehicle...

It is an awesome place to visit.once you reach there you feel the freshness of the water and the calmness of the nature.the water over there is fresh and starigh out of forest that it is crystal clear.this place is Very suitable for people who are looking for some adventurous swimming's the clear water makes your swimming experience yet another level.this place is little messy to find out for a first comer that no sign boards are over there.but the locals are very helpful that you can find the place very easily if you ask anyone.pathangayam is very natural neet and gives you clear water than any other water falls or any other places where you go for swimming's.once you visit there make sure that you have done nothing wrong that makes the place dirty.cause that's something the locals over there hates and they will create a scene...but if you keep the place neet..all good...it's a good place to bring kids...
