Peringanad Trichennamangalam Mahadevar Temple — Attraction in Kerala

This ancient temple was built many hundreds to thousands of years back. It has Mahadevar as the main deity and powerful 'Sri Parvathi' in Western side behind the main deity. As per Shiva philosophy devotees are not allowed to completely circumambulate the sanctum sanctorum unlike many other Hindu temples. Balaganapathi is in 'Kanimoola' and Durga Devi is on Northern side. Temple is reknowned for its 'Kettu Kazhcha' during the annual festival. Kettu Kazhcha is the procession of huge (more than a hundred feet tall) chariot (thaeru) and daintly decorated bulls (Kaala) made of wood and cloth. An ancient story of Lord Shiva being disguised as a hunter and conquering the ego of 'the greatest warrior of all times', Arjuna and blessing him, has been beautifully carved out of wood and adorns the front panel...

Best place for devotion. The temple is one of the most well known temple in India. It's famous for the Maha rudra Pooja. The pooja is given to the Lord Mahadevar. Lord Mahadeva is the main Lord here. There is also Lord ganapathy and Lord Devi here and many more lords. The temple have also a great festival. People from all over the world comes here to see the festival. The festival is conducted by 10 days. There will be programmes during those days. The kodiyettu sadya is famous. The sadya is such a wonderful sadya. Every one should come here and enjoy...

The bharanasamathi should take care to conduct the daily poojas on sharp time itself. The poojari and his assistants are not even take care to distribute the prasadam to devotees. They are sitting together and talking inside the nalambalam. It is a place to worship not a place to gossip. Please take...
