Very beautiful Place . This is an awesome place. It gave us immense pleasure when we reached the top. It's so cool with the wind and shade. The mountains are known for their mineral richness. It's prone to mining but it's been stopped. It's lost it's beauty a little in time but still it's great when we reach the top. We can even see the Calicut medical college from up there., This Place in Mavoor - Kozhikode road. Cheruppa. Calicut. very beautiful feeling place . better experience on your life It is much more beautiful to see there than to hear or read about it. If you go there and think about it, you will find the answer to many questions you are looking for. 7am to 11am and 3 pm to 6 pm good time to visit. Huge mountain, slowly can reach top of mountain. Very heart warming, pleasant and extraordinary senary from the top of mountain. Can see lake on the top of surrounding hills and many hills including a part of Vayanadan hills. Keep enough water and food / fruits in hand. Vehicles not allowed to enter inside this place. If entered with vehicle including two Wheeler police will seize and file cases. Vehicle can keep bottom of the hill where the visiting place start. A group of 4 peoples or more good for a safe tour. Very good place for video and...

One of the best vantage points in Kozhikode district, to enjoy the first golden rays of Sun. Google maps navigation may end you up a tad far. Better to ask locals when you are about to reach, or, at Peruvayal-Mavoor main road, stop at a place where a small obscure arch on the left side of the road, with 'Edikkot Ayyappa Temple' written on it. From here, most of the people trek to the top, a hardly half an hour trek. But off-road junkies can take their 2/4 wheelers for one more km ahead and then begin trekking. Dilapidated ruins of a few buildings, halfway left building constructions, etc. can be seen on the way to top.
