Sengulam Dam Park — Attraction in Kerala

Open from 9 till 5 when the sunlight is at peak. No shades nor much trees to have a peaceful time. Boating too closes at 5 even before the sun goes down. Which means the entire park is a perfect place to get heatstroke. There is only one shed with bench for the entire park to sit. Most of the times, it is just the heat. Devoid of wind, or cool atmosphere. Only speed boat and boating is active. Kayaking is given as an option but all the boats are damaged and nobody to even manage it. Kindly check before taking tickets for the same. Not a single shop inside to buy food or drinks. For even getting a drop of water, we ve to climb back up to the road, walk a few metres to reach two shops with no place to sit. Chengulam Dam is the dam site in Munnar area which is slowly turning out to be busy place and developed boating centre recently. Multiple options of peddle boats, speed boats and large boats.
