Soochipara waterfall Wayanad is a stunning natural attraction in Kerala, India. It is a three-tiered waterfall that falls from a height of about 200 meters, forming a natural pool at the bottom. The waterfall is surrounded by lush green forests and tea plantations, offering a scenic and serene experience for visitors.

I visited Soochipara waterfall Wayanad last month with my family and we had a wonderful time there. We reached the waterfall after a 2 km downhill trek through the forest, which was a bit challenging but rewarding. The sound of the waterfall was soothing and the sight of it was breathtaking. We enjoyed swimming in the cool and clear water of the pool, which was refreshing and relaxing. We also tried some rock climbing on the steep rocks around the waterfall, which was thrilling and fun. We spent about two hours at the waterfall, taking pictures and admiring the beauty of nature.

Soochipara waterfall Wayanad is one of the best places to visit in Wayanad for nature lovers and adventure seekers. It is open from 9 am to 5 pm every day and the entry fee is Rs 80 per person. It is advisable to visit the waterfall during the monsoon season when the water flow is high and the landscape is more green and vibrant. However, one should be careful about slippery rocks and steps during this time.

I would highly recommend Soochipara waterfall Wayanad to anyone who wants to enjoy a spectacular waterfall in a peaceful and picturesque setting. It is a must-see destination in Wayanad that will leave you spellbound by its charm...

This location will be happiness for waterfall enthusiasts. Wayanad must-see attractions. One of the tourist attractions you should not miss. Situated in a forest region with a tranquil ambiance. On the way to the waterfall, you may possibly see some wild creatures and birds. We went in May, which is a dry month, even though there was flowing water. One of the benefits of this autumn is that bathing is permitted. Inside the forest, you can take a cold bath. The distance between Sulthan Bathery and this Beautiful Waterfalls is around 45 kilometres.

Before you get to the ticket counter, there are parking lots and restrooms. The entrance fee to this waterfall is 33 rupees for students, 65 rupees for adults, and 130 rupees for foreigners. If you want to bring your camera inside this fall, you must pay an additional 53 rupees.

The waterfall's paths are kept clean and well-maintained. The magnificent waterfall is roughly a 1 km trek away. There are benches and rest areas along the path to the waterfall where you may sit and relax. Stone roads provide a strong grip while conserving the beauty of nature. Anyone can walk; it's simple and rewarding. There is a separate restroom and clothing changing area for men and women.

There are tiny businesses and eateries near the ticket office where you may get tea and snacks or water. I will give five stars for excellent service; the staff is courteous and helpful. This excursion will be enjoyable...

We stayed at the Taj Wayanad and Soochipara Waterfall is about 2 hours drive from there.

Pros : It's a very clean and enticing waterfall unadulterated by the human pollutants since it's a plastic free zone completely. The tickets are reasonably priced at Rs. 150 per adult. It's a must visit for healthy people who are nature lovers.

Cons : Not recommended for people with health issues or little kids as approaching the waterfall requires trekking of approx 1km incline and kuchha rasta.

Tips : Carry your water in non plastic small bottle as there are no stalls in the way and the waterfall. Wear comfortable footwear and clothes. Take short breaks and enjoy the trek. Wear sunscreen. The best time to visit is from Oct - Feb. Carry pair of change if you want to get drenched. But there are no changing rooms. The approach to the parking lot is winding with tea plantations and breath taking views on both the sides. Be careful of the leeches and step on the rocks carefully. Elderly people and people with lesser stamina must avoid the trek. Soochipara Waterfalls is at Vellarimala, about 35 km from Wayanad. Heaven of the adventure seekers & nature lovers. Carry small eatables like stuff parantha but not in plastic as it will not be allowed to be taken down. The rates and timings are attached...
