A peaceful place with a divine connection in every way. You would understand it when you visit this temple. If you want to perform Muttarakkal vazhipaadu or Panappayasam, then please make sure to visit during the morning since these are performed only in the mornings and not in the evening. On Tuesdays and Fridays if there are some bookings scheduled for Chuttuvilakku, then there will be extended rituals after deeparadhana (deeparadhana is usually around 6:20 PM) followed by rituals by Velichappadu which may extend to 7:00 or 7:15 PM. If there is no Chuttuvilakku scheduled, then temple closes around 6.30 pm.

One of the most beautiful temple in palakkad which gives us a divine and peaceful mind. The atmosphere of the temple was so silent and peaceful. The road to reach the temple was a narrow one. We can can see many peacocks roaming around the road to the temple if you are lucky. The temple is devoted to Goddes Durga (Muthassi). Believed to be very Powerful, devotees from the five villages surrounding this temple consider this goddess to be their Grand Mother (Muthassi).

All the vazhipaadu for kaali is accepted here also.I should mention Mesmerizing beauty of this temple. This temple is basically a "Kavu". Kavu means a temple surrounded with enchanting nature. This temple is blessed with many old trees, plants and lives like birds, sqirrels like.. Many types of vazhipadu(Special Offerings) is there like muttarukkal, payasam... etc.I should mention the parking space, there is a one acre and more place for parking vehecles.whenever you see this temple photo, you could see many stepps leading to temple. There is a easy walkway directly to temple. I would say this is such a good...
