Pariyanampatta Temple: Where Divinity Dances Amidst Verdant Embrace Imagine a sanctuary nestled amidst the emerald embrace of Kerala's countryside, where the air thrums with the whispers of ancient prayers and the scent of incense mingles with the fragrance of swaying coconut palms. This is the essence of Pariyanampatta Temple, a magnificent tribute to the divine feminine, Bhagavathy. Architectural Grandeur: Towering gopurams, adorned with intricate carvings that narrate mythological tales, pierce the azure sky. Step within, and be captivated by the serene courtyards, echoing with the rhythmic chanting of hymns. The very stones whisper stories of centuries past, imbued with the devotion of countless pilgrims. Divine Abode: The presiding deity, Bhagavathy, radiates an aura of power and benevolence. Her serene visage, adorned with vibrant offerings, fills the hearts of devotees with a sense of peace and solace. The temple resonates with the vibrant energy of pujas and rituals, each one a testament to the deep-rooted faith that binds the community together. Festivals of Fervor: Witness the electrifying Pooram festival, where the temple comes alive with the pulsating rhythms of drums and the vibrant hues of colorful processions. The air crackles with excitement as devotees dance in joyous abandon, celebrating the divine presence that permeates their lives. Beyond the Temple Walls: Step outside the temple and immerse yourself in the serene beauty of its surroundings. Lush paddy fields stretch as far as the eye can see, dotted with quaint villages and the gentle murmur of the Bharathapuzha River. This is a place where nature and spirituality intertwine, offering a profound sense of tranquility. An Elegant Tapestry: Pariyanampatta Temple is not just a place of worship; it's a tapestry woven with threads of history, culture, and unwavering faith. It's an experience that lingers long after you leave, a reminder of the divine beauty that resides within each of us. Whether you seek spiritual solace, cultural immersion, or simply a glimpse into the heart of Kerala, Pariyanampatta Temple awaits you with its open arms and timeless elegance.

The temple evokes the sense of calm, peace and tranquility inside of you. There is stillness, a lack of disturbance, lush greens, serene landscape, clear blue skies, quiet sounds and simplicity. It could have been the time of the day I visited. But I honestly relished the spirit of the temple and its setting. At the west nada, car reaches the very area around the temple, so one can directly step out to the temple compound without using the famous steep stairs. Here too there are a small flight of stairs one has to pass through to get to the nada. If one has knee problems, be mindful of this detail. The chandanam you get from there, is to die for; it smells literally divine. If you have time you can spend sometime absorbing the atmosphere; it will sure do u good. Chirpy birds, or an occasional peacock (hen) might greet you around the vicinity. If you are a fan of nature, I guarantee you a good time. And of course the Devi is believed to be very powerful and benevolent. The Devi is very beautifully adorned and the temple spruce and tidy.

Visited during the Pariyanampatta pooram and it was one if the best experience. Parking was the challenging part and during pooram days its best to part away from temple. It took a while to reach temple by foot from parking as the place was completely crowded. Just follow the map to reach the temple if you are coming by own vehicle otherwise get down at Mangalamkunnu bus stop and take a rickshaw or walk, I am not aware of bus service that takes you to the temple. The view from the entrance is amazing but the number of steps might make it a task to reach the temple. The valluvanadan vibe can be felt on the day of pooram. It was very crowded and walking around was very difficult but it was worth. On regular days vehicle can be taken till the temples parking area, and it is very close to the temple.
