Thiruvachira Sree Krishna Temple — Attraction in Kerala

Where i grown up. Hometown. One of the oldest Sri Krishna temples in Kozhikode which is built for the then king of Malabar, Zamorin near to his palace as per the stories i heard.

Guruvayur Ekadashi, Sreekrishna Jayanti & Manadala Masam are some the festive times around this temple.

The huge pond is one of the main highlights of this place. People come here just to see that and take photos. Even for a dip. There is big ground nearby, where cattle grazing and kids playing.

Its right next to Govt Arts College, Fire force station, Govt School & NSS higher secondary school which was initially the palace of Zamorin.

Temple is too good, traditional & peaceful..We came all the way from Kuriyedam, searching via Google Map. As we first time visited this temple today evening around 7 pm, we wished to light Ellu thiri, we take receipt, but the idiots placed in the counter was least bothered to provide the Elluthiri even after, we requested them again after our round around the temple... Last, we place the receipts in front of Lord Ayyappa Moorthi, what else can do... Is this the way to treat the devotees in any of our temples...? Please give proper instructions to these fellows in the counter or place the worship items at the ease of...
