Good Location near to the Beach and the Kozhikode Town, easier for Transportation facilities. Blessed to visit Varakkal Sree Durga Devi Temple. Cave and Theertha sthal are another major features of this temple. ->Need more maintenance for the Cave & Theertha as they are considered very Holy in this temple. All staffs in the temple are very friendly and helpful. Nice Ambiance. Calm location to spend yourself freely. A temple you must Visit, while reaching Kozhikode. Was Blessed to visit this temple which was built and ploughed by Sree Parasurama, inorder to make Devi (the goddess) appear. The main festival here is the Vavu Bali when thousands congregate to perform the ancestral obsequies. (Nearest Beaches: Varakkal Beach, Kozhikode Beach)

One of the 108 Devi Temple which the idol was consecrated by lord Parshurama, pleasant atmosphere, situated on a hill this temple provide the devotees peace of mind and a great experience. The temple was a bit crowded as it was Onam Day. No parking area you have to park the vehicle on road side, there is a Theertha Para inside the temple premises but I didn't went there as it was slippery due to heavy rain.

Varakkal Devi Temple in Kozhikode is considered to be the 108th and the last Devi temple built by Sree Parasurama, the legendary founder of Kerala. It is believed that Parasurama ploughed this area in order to make Devi (the goddess) appear. The main festival here is the Vavu Bali when thousands congregate to perform the ancestral obsequies.
