Khedi ghaat — Attraction in Kheri

I recently visited Khedighat for the first time, and it was an amazing experience. We went there to distribute food to the needy, arriving a bit late around 11 AM. Initially, we thought there wouldn't be anyone left to serve, but my father assured us that all the food would be distributed. As soon as he spoke to someone, people rushed in, eager to get their share.

Despite our efforts to maintain a queue, the fear of missing out made them impatient. They worried about saving some for the evening, which was heart-wrenching. The joy of serving food to these people, especially the little kids who accepted it with such gratitude, brought immense peace. We had prepared food for about 100 people, but nearly 150-180 were served. Next time, we plan to increase the quantity, knowing it will all be utilized.

Afterward, we visited the ghat where a Shivling stands in the middle of the river. Sitting by Maa Narmada’s ghat brought an unmatched sense of peace. This day turned out to be the best of 2024 for me, leaving a lasting impression of contentment...

Best place for picnic, remember to apply sun screen before going also i request everyone please dont use soap while bathing in river, bath at home before going to this place and keep water clean beacuse it is a primary source of drinking water in lakhs of households, fantastic place for spending time with crystal clear water of narmada, also dont expect crystal clear water in rainy season beacuse water gets muddy in...

Narmade har har. Nice ghat. Superb water flow today. Very chill water. Had good snan. Overall good experience. Today huge traffic on the road due to long weekend.

Not much maintained ghat. Dress changing rooms are not there. Chains for non swimmers can be provided. Washrooms also not there.

Car parking is there as of now. Approach road is good. Small prasad shops also there. Nearby small temples...
