So serene, calm and green place away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The drive to this place, though not long, is enough to get you to admire nature. We felt as if we were driving somewhere in Goa or South India. We went in rainy season.
The dam is open to visit any time although it is not advisable to visit after dark. No proper place to park your vehicle if you are there just for the dam. There is a restaurant where you can safely park but only if you eat there. A couple of tea stalls are there as well.
I would suggest taking your food with you and spend a day there like a picnic. Take guitar, a book, do photography or simply sit down and admire nature to spend time. You can easily end up spending 2-3 hours at this place.
You can visit this in group as well as solo. The water level has reduced so that could be a setback but the maintenance of the place has improved from what it was when I last visited it 10 years back.
