If you're searching for a peaceful escape surrounded by nature, Ghughra Dam near Dungarpur is a perfect offbeat destination. Tucked in the scenic Ghughra village, this charming spot is still untouched by mass tourism — which makes it even more special.

As you approach the dam, the landscape gently opens up to reveal calm waters bordered by lush hills on one side and rugged mountains on the other. It’s not a massive structure, but its natural surroundings create a postcard-perfect view — especially during the monsoon when greenery is at its peak and clouds hang low over the hills.

What sets Ghughra Dam apart is its raw, untouched beauty. There's no crowd, no chaos — just the soft sounds of wind, water, and birds. It’s ideal for a short morning or evening drive, a peaceful walk, or even some drone and Insta360 footage if you're into nature photography and...

Ghughra Waterfall: A Hidden Gem of Peace and Nature

I had the pleasure of visiting Ghughra Waterfall, and the experience was truly rejuvenating. What makes this place so special is its calm and serene environment — far removed from the hustle and bustle of crowded tourist spots.

The gentle sound of the cascading water, the untouched beauty of the Narmada River, and the surrounding natural landscape create a perfect escape. Whether you want to sit in peace, reflect, or simply enjoy the beauty of nature, Ghughra Waterfall offers it all. It's a place where you can truly feel connected to nature, with no distractions — just the soothing embrace of the river and the open sky.

A must-visit for anyone seeking tranquility and a break from...

Best picnic 🧺 spot in jabalpur, if you have plan to make food on the spot. But not that good for bathing near the ghat🧼 because the water flow 🌊 is very fast, if u want to take bath go upward in 200m there is good Sandy beach ⛱️ type of place which is good for swimming 🥽 and safe too. Water fall is not that high but if u like peaceful are just go here sit in the ghat hear the water flow you will have the best experience♥️. If you are going alone be aware there are very few people so safety is in your hand👍

I just love it. Ever since my first ride to this place, I keep waiting for Sunday's. The calmness and serenity of the place is simply unmatched. The tremble the Narmada waters create over such a small height is good enough to give you goose bumps. A small pool also gets formed, where one can just relax. Just one request, PLEASE DO NOT LITTER THE PLACE. And if you do spot someone doing it, or already littered, kindly pick it up. THERE'S NO GREATER GOOD THAN DOING SELFLESS SERVICE FOR OUR MOTHER NATURE.
