Its Mountain, Highest point of Madhya pradesh. Nice view of sunset. Travelling through local jeep... Need to pay forest entry fee. It's the highest point in the Satpura range & hence is perfect for both Sunrise & Sunset. However authorities allow watching sunset only now. Unfortunately because of clouds, I could not see the sunset. However it will be really beautiful if you get to see it from here. There is ample space for everyone to sit & watch the sunset and the green cover of Satpura range. Better to carry drinking water & eatables - as you will have to walk around 1 km to reach the spot. On the way to Dhoopgarh, there is an echo pt as well. Drivers stop there by themselves. But if they don't u can ask them to stop.
Dhoopgarh is a beautiful sunset point. Unfortunately we couldn't see it because of clouds. However it was good to just sit there & enjoy the view - as well as the setting sun.
Avoid going there in the afternoon. It will be too hot. This place is sunrise and sunset point in pachmarhi and is the highest point there @4429'.Although sunrise is not part of sightseeing anymore but you can go there before sunset to enjoy views. This sunset point is better than Rajender giri and has got big sitting space to enjoy evening.I missed sunset because of clouds but one might get a good sunset drop from there.A quite place without vendors.keep your own eatables and...
Read moreDhupgarh (Dhoopgarh), Pachmarhi’s highest peak and the best spot for sunrise and sunset views in Madhya Pradesh. Surrounded by the lush Satpura hills, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of valleys, cliffs, and dense forests. Many visitors consider it the most beautiful point in Pachmarhi.
Entry is only allowed through gypsy/jeep rides booked from Bison Lodge Museum, as private vehicles aren’t permitted. The ride itself is scenic and adventurous. Once at the top, there are two main viewpoints—Sunrise Point and Sunset Point. Sunset is especially popular, when the sky glows with golden and orange hues over the green valleys.
The place is calm, refreshing, and ideal for photography or simply soaking in the natural beauty. Monsoon adds misty charm with clouds floating around, though sometimes it blocks the view. Carry water and light snacks, as there are no shops at the top, and be careful of monkeys.
Overall, Dhupgarh is a must-visit attraction in Pachmarhi—peaceful, picturesque, and unforgettable. The combination of cool breeze, endless greenery, and dramatic skies makes it perfect for nature lovers.
Tip: Visit around 5 PM for sunset or early morning for sunrise....
