Safari Timings
Panna Tiger Reserve conducts two safaris daily on open daysâone in the early morning and another in the afternoon/evening. For the best experience, itâs highly recommended to opt for the early morning safari and try to be among the first vehicles to enter. Wildlife activity is highest during these hours, increasing your chances of spotting animals, including tigers.
Guide Experience
Our guide was a knowledgeable lady who briefed us immediately upon entering the vehicle. One of her most important instructions was to never step out of the vehicle, which is crucial for both visitor safety and wildlife protection.
Additional Activities
The reserve also offers a boating experience to spot gharials. Although we didnât get to see one on our trip, itâs still a unique activity worth trying.
Wildlife Sightings
We were fortunate to spot tiger cubs during our safari. However, the sighting attracted many vehicles, leading to congestion in the area. A more regulated systemâlimiting the number of vehicles in a particular zoneâwould help protect the animalsâ privacy and improve the overall visitor experience.
Overall Impression
The safari is well-organized, informative, and offers a good chance to see wildlife in its natural habitat. For the best results, choose the early morning slot, follow the guideâs instructions carefully, and consider adding the boating experience...
Read morePoor tiger sightings - there is supposed to be 80-100 tigers in this park. Highly doubt this figure - did 4 safaris and saw nothing, except the cubs of T 141 from very far.
There seems to be no other tiger in this madla zone - everyone is searching only for the female T 141 and her 4 cubs. Our guide told there is also around 400-500 leopard and yet there was no leopard sightings also in 4 safaris.
Even we spoke to others who had gone before us, they also were tracking only 141.. Where are the other 79 tigers????
Booking counter is also mess like all of MP tiger reserve counter, with guides and drivers occupying full space and if a tourist goes personally then good luck trying to get in line and make payment for your gypsy.
Very poor management all around.
Kindly give out correct figures...
Read moreForeign tourists be aware! These government employees are running a scam with nearby guides, tuktuk drivers and hotel owners. The fee for one person including the jeeps and guides is around 1200-1800 rupees, the guides want to sell you the same ticket for 3000-8000 rupees per person. The national park employees try to hide all the English language information signs, and when you try to get a ticket at the counter they try to ignore you, don't give out the form that is necessary to get the tickets and so on. If it is a busy season, you have to be here hours earlier and queue up, and after the opening of the counters don't let Indians slip in front of you, then maybe you will be able to get tickets at normal price. I suspect some guides even bribe the...
