Patalpani is a waterfall, close to Indore city. It is a popular picnic spot where local people use to visit on holidays. It location is 35kms south-west of Indore city. Many people visits this place in week-ends. Here waterfall height is approx. 150 feet and becomes photogenic in rainy season when waterfall receives adequate rainy water and fall is in its full strength.I visited Indore with my friends. We planned for sightseeing so decided to go Patalpani, its of the best god's gift located there at Indore. There is a waterfall which looks so beautiful that you may forget Niagara Falls. It's not properly located at Indore, some how 40 Km journey has to be completed in order to reach there. You can go by taxi or your own vehicle. But beware to keep distance as it's an accident prone area. So avoid taking selfies near shore. Rest everything is nice about Patalpani :) A very good and awesome natural place to visit. It offers a very good view of the nature. It is an adventurous place to visit. It provides us a good scenery for taking good pictures. Train Starts from Mhow and take break here for 1 hour almost. There are couple of Spots made to view the fall and you can easily roam around here.
Camel ride, Horse ride , Snacks stall are available here. Take a heritage train ride in monsoon and you will not regret it. The nearest airport is the Indore Airport, 40 kilometres from the fall. And although there is a Patalpani station, it is connected by a narrow and hence it is not well connected other major cities. The nearest major railway station is Indore railway station 35 kilometres away. There are regular taxis plying from Indore to Patalpani, you could also drive your private vehicle up to the falls. There are also daily buses to Mhow which is 6 kilometres away from Patalpani, you can take a taxi from Mhow up to the falls.
Waterfall more active during Monsoon as such in this season it was small stream only. Too many monkeys as such it's difficult to seat and enjoy picnic refreshments. No covered place and proper seating arrangements for lunch /eating. Washroom dirty and needs refurbishing. Too much littering all over. Needs proper cleaning also. May avoid visit during winter and summer.
A small waterfall which is worth going only during monsoons. Other days it is not worth it. The view point gives a grand view but that is it. Basic amenities are missing & you can just have the roadside corn & eatables. Hardly a 10...

1.Parking facilities are available(chargeable) Outside foods are allowed. Please keep one empty bag with you for garbage (lack of dustbin) Waterfall don't have appropriate management and high security. 5.keep away your children from waterfall Open till 6:00pm
There is a some confusion regarding parking so don't forget to get the receipt when you pay for it, when there is no one from the parking management then do not park your vehicle until someone arrives for taking the money and give the receipt I am again say Do not forget to collect the receipt when you pay for it cause when you start visiting then may be you can go very far from your vehicle that is why you need to parking receipts with you.
*when you go with the family or you are going with children's then always stay with them cause this place is very risky specially for children's.
