This is the one best place to visit. The temple here in this mountain named Kasi viswanathar which is lord Shiva. The temple is so positive energy filled within and the silence there is really penetrate your heart. Especially the pond near the temple idols are so energetic and no words to explain. Peoples who are visiting this mountain temple, I personally request you to feed the fishes in those pond so that you can feel the existence of life how the fishes are so big in this pond and with no relevant record where one is getting water. It's still mystery. This is the one unique temple. Initially the temple was dedicated only to lord Shiva and after that several factors it is dedicated to lord murugan. However, this temple is still unique. But please keep in mind don't dump your any wastes as due to visits of idiot peoples this temple is losing its...

Perched on the ancient Thiruparankundram hill, the Kasi Viswanathar Temple is surrounded by lush greenery, rocky trails, and a peaceful sky that echoes with chants of devotion. As you climb the stone steps, the rustle of leaves, chirping of birds, and cool breeze guide your soul closer to silence and surrender.

The hilltop offers panoramic views of Madurai city, bathed in golden sunlight during sunrise and glowing serenity during sunset. Monkeys play on branches, temple bells ring softly, and the air feels sacred — as if nature itself bows to Lord Shiva here.

This is not just a temple; it’s a sacred union of earth, sky, and spirit — a perfect spot for reflection, prayer, and...

Kasi Viswanathar Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is located at Thiruparankundram at outskirts of Madurai in Tamil Nadu, India. The temple is situated at 1050 feet height above the sea level on the top of a steep hill. Presiding Diety is called as Kasi Viswanathar and Mother is called as Visalakshi. In the vicinity of the temple one can also see ancient Jain inscriptions and bas reliefs in rock surface. The temple location, by virtue of its height, also offers spectacular view of Madurai city. The climb upto the temple is steep and tiring but at same time very rewarding once you...

>This temple is on the top of Thiruparankundram hill. > It takes 30 minutes to climb more than 500 steps to reach the temple. > On the way to the temple you will see many monkeys. > The temple is surrounded by lush greenery and offers a serene and peaceful atmosphere. > At the entrance we have to write the address and then when we come back, we have to leave a signature on the note book. > Best to visit early in the morning or after sunset. > On of the good trekking experience. > We measure our endurance and stamina here .
