In 2022: In this scorching heat atmosphere, the caves offers peaceful environment due to the cleanliness, a nice water cistern beside and some grown up trees. Though it is a must visit place in monsoon, we enjoyed the summer time here as well. One can see the Tungi peak and Padargad fort if the skies are clear. The river has some waters but in monsoon it should be flooding. Gram Panchayat has taken efforts to provide a well built road and parking nearby.
16th June 2024: To come upto here, there is a good motorable road from Neral railway station. No need to go to Karjat railway station for us Mumbaikars/Dombivlikars. The common point is Kashele village for commuters traveling from Neral, Karjat and Murbad. From Kashele, the road to Ambivali goes via Kothimbe. Actually summer would not be the right time to visit these caves as the heat will kill you but monsoon would be an ideal one for sure.
