Dhangar Waterfalls is a hidden gem located near Panvel in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. This lesser-known waterfall offers a serene and picturesque experience for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. Here are some key points about Dhangar Waterfalls:

Location: Dhangar Waterfalls is situated near the village of Maldunge, close to Panvel, making it accessible from Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. It is part of the scenic Western Ghats range.

Natural Beauty: The waterfall is surrounded by dense forests and rocky terrain, creating a pristine and tranquil environment. The lush greenery and cascading waters make it a perfect spot for nature photography and relaxation.

Waterfall Characteristics: Dhangar Waterfalls is a multi-tiered waterfall, with water cascading down several rocky steps. The height and flow of the waterfall vary depending on the season, with the monsoon months (June to September) being the best time to visit for the most dramatic water flow.

Activities: Visitors to Dhangar Waterfalls can enjoy a variety of activities such as trekking, nature walks, and swimming in the natural pools formed by the waterfall. The trek to the waterfall offers scenic views and a chance to explore the rich flora and fauna of the region.

Accessibility: Reaching Dhangar Waterfalls involves a combination of driving and trekking. From Panvel, one can drive towards Maldunge village and then undertake a moderate trek to the falls. The trek is relatively easy and suitable for beginners.

Best Time to Visit: The ideal time to visit Dhangar Waterfalls is during the monsoon season when the water flow is at its peak, and the surrounding landscape is lush and green. However, visitors should be cautious during heavy rains, as the trail can become slippery.

Environmental and Safety Considerations: As with any natural site, it is important to maintain cleanliness and respect the local environment. Visitors should avoid littering and be mindful of the ecological impact. Additionally, caution should be exercised while trekking and swimming, especially during periods of strong water flow.

Dhangar Waterfalls offers a peaceful retreat into nature, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It is an ideal destination for those seeking a quiet and scenic spot to relax and connect...

It's a hidden gem @ Badlapur. When had visited that time monsoon was almost over but still this waterfall is keeping it's beauty. Can't imagine how it would be beautiful in monsoon. There are many beautiful places near this waterfall like Bhoj dAM, kondeshwar temple, and the incredible sahyadri Range even you can able to view Chanderi Fort from here. The only drawbacks is road to reach here, road condition is very bad even you can ride on bike and somehow difficult to find out this place for outsiders, its better to enquire well while on the go. Normally it's a good and big waterfall and you can able to enjoy because it's unknown till now and that's why not much crowded. Be careful near waterfall because it's very deep and there is cliff under the water so if you don't know the swim don't go inside and even if u know then...

Dhanghar or Dhangar Waterfalls are very scenic area surrounded by natural beauty. It is very quite and full of natural elements such as greenery, hills, waterfalls and mud houses of locals with beautiful open blue sky. This attracts the tourists from various places from Mumbai and surrounding areas. There is a narrow route therefore four-wheeler drive is to be done with due care as it creates traffic jams in weekends and holidays. Some small restaurants are available nearby where you can have light snacks and tea/coffee or cold drinks.
