I recently visited Dronagiri Fort near Uran, Maharashtra, and it was an amazing experience! 🏞️ The trek was short and not too difficult, with a peaceful path surrounded by greenery and rocky terrain. As I climbed higher, the view of the Arabian Sea started to unfold, and it was absolutely breathtaking 🌊. The fort may be in ruins now, but you can still feel its historic vibe. I came across old walls, remnants of a small church, and got a sense of how important this place must have been centuries ago 🏰. Standing at the top, with the cool breeze and stunning scenery all around, I felt completely refreshed and calm. If you're looking for a quick escape from the city and love nature, history, or just a quiet adventure, I definitely recommend checking out Dronagiri Fort! 🌿

This is one of the unnoticed and not well preserved fort but that also makes this place and the environment here like a touch of a raw nature. Those sweet voices of the birds and fragrance from the trees in the morning are mesmerizing 🍃 It'll be great if this fort do get little bit maintainance by the concerned organisation🫡

Just 1.5 to 2 hrs from Mumbai and near to JNPT, with good number of remains to see!

One has to reach at Dronagiri base village.

Just in front of ST Bus Stand, there is narrow road (Galley ). If you have big four wheeler, then you may be doubtful about to put your vehicle there! ☺️

After a drive of hardly 5 minutes, you will reach to parking area which can accommodate 5 to 6 vehicle.

Way to fort starts from there.

For next two turns you need to take help of villagers.

After this point you will find arrows and other markings through out trail.

Trail is full of jungle with a little steep ascend.

After walk of 40 to 45 minutes, you will reach to tin shade. There is some security post.

In front of it is entrance of the fort.

Immediately one can see church and yeto water tanks.

Continuing walk beside left side fortification wall, you can reach other entrance gate.

This leads to main entrance to fort. There is small idol of Ganesh ji.

Continue the walk and go as per markings for 10 minutes. You will reach to Vetal Temple on the right side ascend.

Here you complete the trek!

You have choice of returning by same way or other way leads you to...
