I recently visited Dugarwadi Waterfall, and the experience was nothing short of magical. Tucked away in the lush green hills around 40 km from Nashik, this hidden gem comes alive during the monsoon season and offers an unforgettable escape into nature.

🌿 Trek and Trail Experience:

The journey begins with a short drive through picturesque rural roads. From the parking area at Sapgaon, there’s a 1.5 to 2 km trek to reach the waterfall. The trail takes you through dense greenery, gentle slopes, and a few narrow paths. During the monsoon, parts of the trail can be slippery and muddy, so good grip shoes are essential. Along the way, the sound of chirping birds, flowing water, and rustling trees keeps you company — pure therapy for the soul!

Towards the end, there’s a small stream crossing (about ankle-deep) and a rocky descent — a little tricky but manageable for anyone moderately fit. The overall trek takes about 30–40 minutes one way, depending on your pace.

💧 The Waterfall Itself:

Once you reach, the sight is absolutely breathtaking. The waterfall plunges from a great height in two distinct tiers, surrounded by thick forest cover. The mist in the air, the roaring sound of water crashing onto rocks, and the cool breeze create a surreal atmosphere. It’s one of those places where you just want to sit in silence and soak it all in.

Photography lovers will find plenty of scenic spots. But be cautious — the rocks near the fall can be slippery. Avoid going too close to the edge, especially when the water flow is strong.

🧃 Facilities and Local Stalls:

There are no proper tourist facilities like washrooms or changing rooms, so come prepared. However, near the trail’s starting point, you’ll find a few local stalls selling tea, corn, vada pav, and water bottles. Prices are reasonable and the hospitality is warm.

Also, no entry fee is charged — which makes this a rare, untouched natural retreat. But please be responsible: carry back your trash and avoid playing loud music. Let’s keep this place clean and peaceful.

🚫 Important Tips:

Best visited between July to September when the waterfall is in full glory.

Avoid visiting after 4 PM as forest officials usually restrict entry post that time.

Not recommended for elderly people or toddlers due to the trek.

Carry a raincoat, snacks, water, and a small first aid kit just in case.

Mobile network is spotty here — which is a blessing if you’re looking...

AMAZING EXPERIENCE:- DugarWadi waterfall is located at 30 kms from Nasik and 2 kms from Trimbak on Trimbak-Jawhar road.Jawhar road itself is known for its scenic views in monsoon and attracts lot of tourist.TO reach Dugarawadi you need to take a left turn from Sapgaon village and travel some distance to the fall. You see a private parking area managed by localities here. They charge you some money its better to pay to be assured of vehicles. Then you see a government toll that is taken per person. Then you take a walk to the waterfall from lush greenery.YOu reach a open hilltop kind of area where you can hear the sound and imagine the force of this waterfall there are some tea and snacks stall here. Families can reach safely to this point. To experience the real adventure you have to take the descending route to the falls. It is bit slippery and is usually crowded in rainy season while descending you feel it will be a quiet lot a work to get back up the hill. Then you reach a river like flow which you have to cross the force of water pushes you back and cross safely through this area. Then you can walk each step nearer to the fall through some rocky patch and cross the flow in between. The portion near to the fall is very slippery and you have to be very careful as few of people have fallen and suffered spinal injuries here. The view is awesome near the fall and then you have to take same route back.Beware of the water if the level rises avoid crossing as there are incedents of people getting stuck here. Also if girls are accompanying you make sure you have a large group as some of the men are just to booze and enjoy. Dugarwadi waterfall is one of the best natural waterfalls in Nasik and It is a great place to visit, especially in monsoon when you can enjoy pristine surroundings and lush greenery everywhere. This place is aviced for young nature lovers. The surroundings are so peaceful and beautiful that we will be carried away from this world. Trekking here is wonderful. The trip to the waterfall during the monsoon is a must for anyone visiting Trimbak. It will mesmerize anyone. The route to the waterfall is through a semi-dense forest which adds it awe. The river enroute to the waterfall is also a must stop. However don't think it will manifest its nature in...

At a distance of 8 km from Trimbakeshwar and 38 km from Nashik, Dugarwadi waterfall is one of the best💯😊 natural waterfalls of Maharashtra situated near Sapgon.

Dugarwadi is a great 😙place to explore the beauty of mother nature especially in the monsoon season. The dense forest, waterfall and the fresh air are all seductive. It totally makes one forget about all the hustle-bustle, stress and tensions of the city life. During rains take utmost care because the water level rises suddenly.

To reach the Dugarwadi falls, visitors need to drive up to Sapgon on NH-848, which is about 4 km from Trimbakeshwar. From Sapgon the waterfall parking area is 4 km. After reaching the place,☺️ one has to park the vehicles near the road and a walk of 1-2 km is required to reach at the exact place of waterfall. 😍It is recommended to make group visit at Dugarwadi,❤️ because there is no security available and it is also a lonely place.☺️❤️❤️
