Durga tekdi has already become my regular place for morning walks.
This place is called Durga tekdi because Durga maata temple is located here. This place is full of tress and a lake placed along side. Place is really maintained very well and is very clean.Washroom are also really maintained nicley. Provision for drinking water and dust bins are made from place to place. Atmosphere here is very fresh and healthy. Food and water is also placed for the birds and In animals around in this place .
People come here for walk and are allowed free entry from 5AM to 11AM. There is entry fee of rupees 10/- for adults and rupees 5/- for age group between 3 to 12 years from 11AM to 5:30PM.
You will find people of every age group coming to this place .Old women's have there party's here. You can bring food here but the only restriction is that there should be no plastic bag used nor plastic bottles are allowed from the gate. Camera are also not allowed you can use your phone to take pictures.
There are playground located from place to place for kids. They also have very good sitting arrangements from place to place . Shades are make at different locations for yoga and meditation. This place is also very nice for photoshoot. There are different kinds of trees and birds here and Will also be able see some monkeys around along with ducks in the lake.
Tree plantation is regularly carried out at this place and water circulation for tress is also done very nicely.
The only thing which I didn't like was couple's coming to this place and doing things which are not supposed to be done at public places. This gives very bad impression to people about this place and could well affect small kids too. Some action needs to be taken against such couple's.
But this is definitely the best place which can show the beauty of nature
Will definitely recommend every one to visit this place

Read moreDurga Tekdi is a peaceful hilltop spot in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune, popular among locals for morning walks, jogging, and weekend outings. It is a well-maintained green space that provides a refreshing break from the city's hustle and bustle.
One of the best aspects of Durga Tekdi is its lush greenery. The area is covered with a variety of trees, making it a great place for nature lovers. The fresh air and scenic views make it an excellent spot for exercise or simply unwinding. During the monsoon, the place becomes even more beautiful with vibrant green surroundings and cool weather.
Durga Tekdi is easily accessible by road, with parking facilities available nearby. The walking trails are well-paved, making them suitable for all age groups. There are also benches and shaded areas for people who want to relax. However, there are no food stalls or major commercial facilities, so visitors should carry their own water and snacks.
Early mornings and evenings are the best times to visit, as the weather is pleasant, and the sunrise/sunset views from the top are stunning. Weekends can be slightly crowded, but the place never feels too congested.
One downside is the lack of proper dustbins, leading to occasional littering. Also, there are limited security arrangements, so visiting in groups is advisable, especially late in the evening.
Durga Tekdi is a great place for fitness enthusiasts, families, and nature lovers. If you are looking for a peaceful escape within the city, this is a must-visit spot. Just ensure you carry essentials and maintain cleanliness to...
Read moreIt's a hilltop park maintained by PCMC. Entry is free between 6 AM - 11 AM and after 5:30 PM until the park closes. Between 11 AM - 5:30, the charges are ₹10 for adults and ₹5 for kids. Parking charges however, are steep, at ₹20 for 2W and ₹40 for cars. The parking facility is shared with Appu Ghar.
The park is huge and offers sweeping views of the entire city. Most of the track is paved with asphalt - which is something I found unique! A small section has paver blocks, and another small one is paved with mud. There are multiple routes that you can take. The typical trail is about 2 kms with significant altitude variation. Good walking/jogging shoes are highly recommended.
There are several small green areas with park benches, where you can relax. Even though this is located in a deep corner of the city, there's uninterrupted 4G coverage throughout the park area.
Outside the park, there are plenty of small stalls selling fruits, breakfast items, healthy juices and organic foods/ingredients, until 10 AM. There's a huge parking lot for cars, but even that gets full on weekends. If possible, get here on a 2W. There's even a small cycle stand outside the park, with places where you can anchor the cycle to fixed structures.
It's places like these that make PCMC such a liveable & loveable ❤️ city!
The evening crowd mostly comprises couples and picnickers. You can visit in the morning if that's the sort of crowd you...
