Garbette platue is a very famous valley view point at Matheran hill station in Maharastra.

LOCATION – Google Maps is the app and web which will help you search the place always. Garbette platue can be easily searched. We can go there from NERAL Local station nearby. About half hours drive from KASARA station and then a small trek.

TRANSIT MODES – You can also get BEST transits from your desired location till the Place. Nearest Local railway station is NERAL.

It is a beautiful trek which even kids can do the climbing. The descend however is a tough part. The easy walk way is there from the matheran entrance point. I think kids will also be able to climb it easily. The local people within minutes go up their.

Route 1)From Bhivpuri Railway station Very enjoyable monsoon trek...you can visit it on your own... It's like 3 to 3&1/2 hours trek from Bhivpuri Railway station. And return will take 2 &1/2 hrs..from same route 2)You can reach here from matheran through jungle walk plain and descend through Garbett point...and then reach to Bhivpuri 3)from Bhivpuri to matheran...

Motivation and tips 1)Do not eat oily food before you start...it will haunt you . 2)there is only one or two rough patches so,trek requires medium endurance.. 3)Avoid weekend as increasing popularity of place...and people are coming here with big groups... 4)Always remember believe in yourself you can complete trek...but if you can't don't stress you, Should return back,(For people above 40..)

I went on a midnight trek with a group it was an amazing experience I saw a beautiful sunrise 🌄. How to reach... I took the train from CSMT to Karjat around 9:20 pm and reached Bhivpuri Road station. From the station to the highway it takes 5 minutes from there you can hire a local guide. It took around 1 hour 30minutes to reach base village where we filled our water bottles and took 10 minutes rest at the local guide's house. From the base village to the plateau it takes again 1-1hr 30minutes. From the plateau we enjoyed sunrise you can also camp there. The exit route has very beautiful scenery and it meets the main road from where we took the van and reached Neral station. From Neral station we took the train to CSMT around 10:33 am in the morning. So I went with a group called wanderingsouls. So if you want to avoid trek and go for only camping you can take the jungle trail route from Matheran!! Trek is moderate to difficult And you must carry water bottle and some snacks for energy. The most important thing is trekking shoes and torches(preferably the headlamp flashlight if you are going for a midnight trek). Please do not litter the place and carry your plastic bottles and packs with you. Go and enjoy it's an amazing...
