A very nice place for one-day family trip on Pench river. This place has rock formations which have been formed by erosion of river water which flows thru these rocks giving them a familiar look to Bhedaghat of Jabalpur but this is a mini version of it. There is a small temple of Lord Shiva (that is why it is named Ghogara Mahadev) on top of the rocks.
There are many spots for taking selfies and photos. You can explore the place by climbing over the rocks which have some small cave like formations. Do not try to get down or jump in the water between these rocks as they are very deep and one may drown in it. You can play in the river which has shallow flowing streams. Kids will like it the most.
On the river bank there are food shacks run by local villagers selling tasty jhunka bhakar, chivda, bhel, cold drinks, tea, bottled water, etc. You can sit in the shacks and have your own food too provided you buy something to eat or drink from them. Temporary changing rooms have also been set up for ladies which is a good thing.
Best time to visit is after the rainy season, September to January, as there will be water flowing thru the river. It is not safe in the rainy seasons as the river is flooded and flowing...

An ideal setting for a family picnic, it provides the perfect opportunity for quality time together. Explore an array of stalls presenting delectable Jhunka Bhakri. Understanding the importance of preserving the sanctity of the temple premises by refraining from littering is crucial for all individuals.
