ఆంజనేయుడి నుదురు, ముక్కు, దవడలు ముఖం పక్కనుంచి (సైడ్ ) నుంచి అలా కనిపించింది .

మహారాష్ట్ర లోని నాసిక్ పట్టణం యాత్రస్థలాలకి ఎంతో ప్రసిద్ధి చెందింది. పవిత్ర గోదావరి పుట్టిన ప్రదేశం త్రయంబకేశ్వర్ నాసిక్ దగ్గరలోనే వుంది. ఇక్కడ ఎన్నో చూడ దగిన ప్రదేశాల్లో నాసిక్ త్రయంబకేశ్వర్ మధ్య అంజనేరి అనే స్థలం ఎంతో కూడా పవిత్రమైనది. అంజనేయ స్వామి పుట్టిన ప్రదేశం "అంజనేరి: అని మన పురాణాలు చెబుతున్నాయి. పవనుడు అంజనీ దేవిల పుత్రుడే మన హనుమంతుడు. తల్లి పేరుమీద అంజనేరి అనే పేరు వచ్చిందంటారు. ఆంజనేయుడు చిన్నతనమంతా ఇక్కడే గడిపాడట.

చుట్టూ అందమైన ప్రదేశం, కొండలు గోదావరి పుట్టిన ప్రదేశం ఇవన్నీ ఈ ప్రాంతానికి ప్రాముఖ్యాన్ని ఇచ్చాయి. ఇక్కడి పడమటి కనుమల్లో (western Ghats) సముద్ర మట్టానికి 4264 అడుగుల ఎత్తులో వున్న కొండమీద అంజనేరి ఫోర్ట్ కోట వుంది. మూడు కొండలు ఎక్కి దిగి వెళ్తే అంజనేయుడు జన్మించిన ప్రదేశం వస్తుంది. ఈ ప్రదేశంలో ఒక చిన్న ఆలయం, అందులో అంజనాదేవి ఒడిలో బాల అంజనేయ స్వామి ఉన్నట్లుగా ఉన్న విగ్రహం కనిపిస్తుంది. ఎక్కువగా అంజనేయ స్వామీ భక్తులు ఈ ప్రదేశం చేరుకునే వారు. హనుమాన్ చాలీసా చదువుతూ ఎక్కుతారు. కాని చాలా కొద్ది మంది మాత్రమే ఈ కొండపైకి చేరుకోగలరు.

ఈ కొండకి వెళ్ళే దారిలో మైదానాలు, జలపాతాలు, సన్నని దారులూ, ఎక్కడానికి మెట్లు కనిపిస్తాయి. జలపాతాలు మెట్ల పైనుంచి కూడా ప్రవహిస్తుంటాయి కొండపైన ఒక లేక్ వుంది. దారిలో కనిపించే వింత జలపాతం అంటే కింద నుంచి పైకి పడే రివర్స్ వాటర్ ఫాల్స్ వున్నాయి.

ఇక్కడ కొండలు ట్రెక్కింగ్ కి అనువుగా వుంటాయి. అందుకే ఎంతో మంది ఇక్కడ ట్రెక్కింగ్ కాంప్ లు నిర్వహిస్తుంటారు. ఇక్కడ వున్న ఒక కొండ నిట్టనిలువు గా థమ్స్ అప్ లా150 అడుగుల ఎత్తులో వుంటుంది. అది ఎక్కడం చాలా కష్టం. ఇలా కోసుగా నిలువుగా వుండే రెండు కొండల శిఖరాలను నవర & నవేరి (Navara & Naveri) అంటారు. అయినా సాహసకులు ఎక్కుతుంటారు. 108 జైన్ గుహలు, జైన్ ఆలయాలు ఈ కొండల్లో వున్నాయి. ఇక్కడి గుహలలో అందమైన శిల్పాలు చెక్కి వుంటాయి. అవి జైన్ సంప్రదాయానికి చెందినవిగా భావిస్తుంటారు. అక్కడే సీతాదేవి గుహ కూడా వుంది. కొండ ఎక్కిన వారు అక్కడ విశ్రాంతి తీసుకోవడానికి వీలుగా వుంటుంది. ఫోర్ట్ కు వెళ్ళే దారిలో అంజనేరి గ్రామం వస్తుంది. దారిలో అంజనేరి పాదాల దగ్గర హనుమంతుడి మందిరం వుంది. అందులో పెద్ద హనుమంతుడి విగ్రహం ధ్యాన ముద్రలో వుంది. కొండపైకి వెళ్ళే దారిలో అంజనీ దేవి ఆలయం వుంది. అందరూ పర్వతం పైకి చేరుకోలేని వారు కిందనుంచే స్వామిని దర్శించు కుంటారు. నాసిక్ నుంచి 20 కి,మీ, దూరంలో రహదారి పైనే ఈ విగ్రహం వుంది.

జ్యోతిర్లింగాలలో ఒకటైన త్రయంబకేశ్వర్ నుంచి నాసిక్ వెడుతుంటే ఈ కొండ వస్తుంది. అక్కడి ప్రాంత ప్రజలు అంజనేయ స్వామి ఇక్కడే జన్మించినట్లు ప్రగాడంగా విశ్వ సిస్తారు. ఈ కొండ పైకి వెళ్ళాక ఆలయంలో అంజనా దేవి ఒడిలో పసిపాప లా అంజనేయ స్వామి వున్నట్లుగా విగ్రహం వుంటుంది.

Historically significant place with nature at it's best around here. Surrounded by a mountain terrain on almost all sides, this is a heavenly place to be visited in late monsoons. Best period could be Aug - Sep.

Once a paradise for trekking adventures, this place is now felt like any other commercialised holy place. The trek difficulty level is reduced from moderate to easy due to the construction of steps over here. If you still want to have a difficult trek option, go for off the staircase route.

Monkeys are plenty, but they are very friendly and won't bother unless you want them to. Do not show off eatables to them.
