Olden golden palace dating to the 1840's. The palace is majorly made from wood and presently in a poor state. A lot of locals have made it into a afternoon game zone. The local authorities should try to place a few guards and fence of the area to attract more tourists. There is a mandir which is in a poor state if renovated would bring more charm to this place.,
The Jai Vilas palace was built by Raje Mr. Yashwant Rao Mukane in near by 1940. The name Jai Vilas is derived from the one of the raje of Jawhar Mr. Jaiba Maharaj Mukane. The stone used for this is syenite which was brought from sakhara which is 12km away from its location. It is said that when the work of palace was completed, the quarry from which the stone was extracted was broken down and now the Geological Department of Government of India has taken up to locate the quarry. The palace is a master piece of pink stone. There is a beautiful garden with a dense forest like foliage, having trees of cashewnut everywhere. Nice...

Read moreThe palace looks majestic though it's not been maintained and it's under repairs at many places. There is absolutely limited road side parking on the main road leading to here. The entries to palace are all unofficial. The road side entry gate is blocked and has to be bypassed with a 15 minutes of walk from main road till the palace. Scooters/Bike can bypass the gates and reach till the palance but no car/rickshaws which will have to be left on the road. you won't be allowed inside the palace. There is no public facilities/toilets etc. The palace in itself is beautiful and must have been amazing...
