This dam is owned by India Railway. During earlier day when railways used to be operated using steam engine, the water from this dam was used. Nowadays steam engine on more exists in Indian Railways. But water of this dam is still utilised by India Railways for those packaged drinking water brand names Railneer. If you check the manufacturing unit on Railneer Water Bottles, one the address is of Ambernath, it is this place. So next time you find yourself drinking Indian Railways Railneer Packaged Water, thanks this place.😉 Happy Exploring!!!! Cheers!!!

Most beautiful and mind blowing place near badlapur. Place is quite crowded in weekend. But you will get fresh cool air and view of dam with water waves creates relaxing sound. I suggested to visit this place and also had suggestion to avoid drinking is such beautiful place. Place is quit dirty and goverment should keep this place clean so that people can enjoy the fresh air and can plan picnic at this place. For mine it's a best place to get relaxation.
