Read moreI used to absolutely love this place—it was a haven of peace. The atmosphere was so serene; I could walk around for hours, enjoying the vegetable plantations and the decorative bushes that made the place feel like a little slice of nature. It used to be the perfect escape, and I always felt a sense of calm whenever I visited.
The shopping area here is also great—spacious and well-organized with a decent variety of shops. You could easily spend time browsing without feeling crowded or rushed.
Unfortunately, my recent visit left me a bit disappointed. One of the main reasons I would come here was for their iconic "Strawberries with Cream & Ice Cream"—it was always the highlight of my trip. But on Sunday afternoon, much to my dismay, it was out of stock. I asked the cashier about it, and he simply said it wouldn't be available that day. That was a real letdown.
Additionally, the indoor seating area had its AC turned off, which made the place uncomfortably warm. Given the hot weather, that was not exactly the kind of environment I had hoped for when relaxing indoors.
If your main motivation for coming here is to enjoy the "Strawberries with Cream & Ice Cream," I'd suggest skipping this place for now. The consistency is lacking, and you're likely to be disappointed. I would recommend heading over to Mala's instead—they always have it available and the experience is generally more reliable.
It's still a nice place for a stroll, but until they address these issues, I think I'll be looking elsewhere...
Read moreWe visited Mapro food park on a weekend, Saturday. Upon entering you first need to register for a factory tour, so we got the tickets. It was a total of 234/- per person including gst. There are other options also for discovering for which you need to register first..like the falero rain, miniature rail town museum etc. But we just went for a factory tour. After we took the tickets, there was still sometime for the factory tour, so we sat to have some snacks and their best juices/strawberry stuff. We tried something different this time, and not their very famous strawberry icecream. We tried chocolate shake and cold coffee, which tasted really good. Later, they took us for the tour, but before that they had an introduction in the form of a video, which was for about 15 minutes. After that they took us for an actual factory tour. The tour was a bit boring as most of the machines were not working, only few of them were operational. A guide took us for the tour, and explained everything in short. Later on, they give us some complementary chocolates to eat and falero small chocolate pouch. Lastly, we ended here by taking some pictures in and around the food park. There are also some adventure activities, like zip line and sky cycle which I could see were actually working. Overall, It is a good place to enjoy with kids and family ( not really meant for couples). You can easily spend half...
