Review of Monteria Village, Khalapur – 4th July 2025 Room No: 306

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Monteria Village, Khalapur, and I must say, it was a heartwarming and memorable experience. Nestled amidst nature, this beautiful village-themed resort offers the perfect balance between authentic rural vibes and modern comfort. I stayed in Room No. 306, which was neat, spacious, and had a charming rustic appeal. The décor resonated with the Maharashtrian village theme, with attention to detail in every corner – from the traditional beds to the clay walls and handcrafted artifacts.

What truly stood out during my stay was the hospitality and the warmth of the people working here. Every single staff member – right from the front desk to the housekeeping team – was genuinely welcoming, polite, and always eager to help. You don’t just feel like a guest here; they make you feel like family. A special mention to the team handling the cultural activities – their energy and passion were infectious. The traditional welcome, dhol-tasha, and folk dances made us feel like we were attending a festive celebration in a real village.

But let’s talk about the highlight of my stay – the food. Absolutely divine! Each meal was a culinary celebration of traditional Maharashtrian and rural Indian cuisine. The flavors were authentic, the ingredients felt fresh and local, and the variety was impressive. Whether it was the piping hot puran poli served with ghee or the earthy taste of zunka bhakri, every bite took me back to the roots of Indian culture. The live counters and the way meals were served in a traditional “pangat” (community dining style) added an extra layer of joy to the experience.

The resort is very well-planned for families and groups. There’s plenty to do – bullock cart rides, pottery-making, puppet shows, rope climbing, zip-lining, and many more village-style games that bring out the child in you. The greenery and open spaces allow you to disconnect from city chaos and truly relax.

Waking up to the sound of birds chirping and a mild breeze flowing through the window in Room 306 was incredibly refreshing. The room had all the essentials – clean washrooms, comfortable bedding, and good ventilation – with just the right blend of simplicity and comfort. Housekeeping did a wonderful job of maintaining the space throughout the stay.

In conclusion, Monteria Village is not just a resort, it's an experience. Whether you’re looking for a cultural retreat, a family vacation, or a weekend escape with friends, this place is a must-visit. The soul of the place lies in its people – their hospitality, smiles, and dedication make it unforgettable. I left with a full heart and already started planning my next trip back.

Thank you, Monteria Village team, for making my stay so delightful. Keep spreading smiles and serving that...

We visited Monteria Village on 26th Jan. It was not at all crowded. Do not confuse with monteria resort. Both are different. From Navi Mumbai, it takes around 45mins -1 hr. It's a good place to relax for a day. It's a village themed location similar to choki dhani. We booked the tickets in advance. However we called them many times but could not get connected to anyone so that left us confused about couple of doubts we had. You can enjoy one day at the venue. They have made the entire place like a real village. There are lots of activities that you can do.. Cycling, pottery, learn about carpentry, black Smith, get massage and haircut at barber, teach in anganwadi.. They have kids who come to study there.. We had a good chat with the kids, weaving, traditional clothes, traditional food, juices, tailoring.. Everything was really awesome. They have lot of places to rest.. They have ties nets on palm trees for resting, they r many resting rooms, hanging bridge was fun. Boating was nice, puppet show, greenhouse, bioscope, giant swing, girls on the rope, tall swings and more. Everything was just awesome. You feel like that you are in village. There are hut styled rooms that you can book to rest but i feel that's not required as they have so many options for resting otherwise. One time it is good. Value is slightly high. Per ticket 1500 above 12 yrs, 1300 rs for below 12. Breakfast, lunch and hi tea is served. Breakfast option we got was idli, vada, sambar, chutney, fafda, tea coffee, bread butter jam..heard that they also have other options on different days. Lunch was really good.. Veh and non veg.. Food for jain was available. Breakfast was just average. Tea they served onion and potato pakore, chutney sandwich, Marie biscuits, tea coffee.. You have to walk.. There is not much to walk but they have vans that you can take you around. Huts were full so we could not get rooms as it was booked for a wedding. Best time to visit is Dec-Jan. Summer it would be really hot. Swimming pool is good.. They have kids pool as well, changing rooms. Only prob I faced was water in pool was extremely cold and unbearable. They could have kept the temp little warmer. Rest rooms and facilities can be little bit more neat as everything looks old spec rest room bathrooms.. They have kept water pots at every nook and corner and enough rest rooms built. Locker rooms are available too. Guides are there at every point. Overall a good experience....
