A pleasant atmosphere will definitely lend you infinite peace. The place is a very amazing example of management of a great construction in in the ancient India. A masterpiece of architecture. The significance of the Indian history.... The environment is totally green and fresh.. Free from pollution and entirely blessed by nature. The clouds just wander around the #Jaffrabad_Point on the fort. The deadly scenario of the #khooni_buruj. And the most beautiful enternce of #Mahakali_Gate. #The_Shakkar_talav(lake) adds up to the glory. The close glance of the #Rani_Mahal is necessary to experience the beauty of the place. The oil storage tanks of the ancient time can tell you about the science used in the construction of the monument. The current atmosphere is totally mesmerizing. The best season to visit is pre monsoon (August - September),the drizzling effect of the rain makes your smile broader. Have a visit and blow of stress from your mind. Get a fresh start againj

Good fort and wildlife sanctuary. The fort of Narnala was the entrance from north to the Deccan. It was the most glorious period of the region during the rule of Gond kings. You can visit it any time during the year, but visits after November are more fruitful, as one can find animals at the water tanks. The beauty of the fort can however be maintained on a higher level. More efforts are needed to promote tourism. Staying and safari can be booked on the spot. The forest department has guest house and restaurant at the entrance gate. The rates are also reasonable. Timing of the safari is 1) Entry time 5.30 - 6.30 am - returning time 11.00 am 2) entry time 14.00 - 16 hrs- returning time 18.00 hrs. 3) entry on Tuesdays are not allowed.please confirm before visit. No shops at the gate.carry necessary items along with you.

The narnala fort is located in the Satpura range of vidarbha region in the state of maharashtra of india. The narnala named after the rajput Solanki Chaulukya Ruler, Raja Narnal Singh, also known as Narnal Singh Swami. It was renamed as "Shahnoor" by Islamic rulers but again acquired, rebuilt and got its name "Narnala" by ruler RaoRana Narnal Singh Solanki, who migrated from Rajsthan state, Tonk district, originally by Pathan and was a descendant of Narnal Singh Swami. The fort covers an area of 362 acres. The major features and architecture were done by Hindu rulers, mainly the Solanki Rajput Killedars and the rulers of Gondwana, I.e., the Raj Gond, but modified by Islamic rulers into Islamic style by the time. It has 360 watchtowers, six large and twenty-one small gates. The large gates are called the Delhi darvaza, the Sirpur darvaza, the Akot darvaza, and the Shahanur darvaza. The innermost of the three gate-ways is the Mahakali gate named by Killedar family as Goddess Mahakali is their family deity. It is built of white sandstone and is highly ornate. It is decorated with conventional lotus flowers, a rich cornice, and later flourished with Arabic inscriptions, and flanked by projecting balconies with panels of stone lattice-work displaying considerable variety of design. It is considered an example of Sultanate style of architecture. An inscription records the fact that the gate was built in the reign of Shahab-ud-din Mahmud Shah (Bahmani) by Fathullah Imad-ul-Mulk in 1486. A short verse from the Quran is also inscribed. The fort still display " Ashtakamal" eight petals Lotus which was the symbol of Narnal Singh's Solanki dynasty goddess Khimaj or Mahalaxmi. These lotuses are visible on the mosques and many other places. Hence it is evident that Islamic rulers made changes in Narnal Singh's original architectural construction and converted the place in Moghul/Islamic form. It was impossible for any ruler to rebuild the entire fort considering the geographical location of the fort. Here to reach this fort, it is located in the Amit Taluka of Akola district of maharashtra state. The closest city is Akot, which is 18 km away. It is at the southernmost tip of the Satpura Hills. Currently the fort falls within the Melghat...
