The Raigad Ropeway is undeniably the fastest and most convenient way to reach the top of Raigad Fort, an iconic historical site in Maharashtra. During our visit, we found the entire experience to be well worth the wait, despite a waiting time of approximately 1.5 hours after purchasing tickets. For those looking to save time, online tickets are available, but we opted to buy ours on the spot. Payment options are flexible, including cash, UPI, and card, though it's wise to carry cash due to potential mobile network issues in the area. While waiting, visitors can explore a small museum that showcases various antiques and artifacts related to the fort’s history. There is also a cozy TV room where informative documentaries about Raigad Fort and its significance are shown, adding an educational aspect to the visit. The ropeway ride itself is a short 5-7 minute journey, but it’s packed with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The cable cars are well-maintained and provide a smooth ride, making the ascent to the fort both safe and enjoyable. Reaching the top via the ropeway, you’re greeted with the majestic sight of Raigad Fort, standing tall and proud with its rich history waiting to be explored. The ropeway not only saves time but also adds an element of adventure to the trip, offering a unique perspective of the fort and its surroundings. Overall, the Raigad Ropeway offers a seamless blend of convenience, history, and scenic beauty, making it a highly recommended experience for anyone visiting the region. Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply looking for a unique travel experience, the Raigad Ropeway is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

If you want to go by rope way and if it's weekend you should plan it in very proper manner. 1. If its weekend and you are planning by Ropeway you should get into line at 04:00 AM for ticket so you will get the ride early. 2. If you fail to the first point and won't get the ticket early there will be a waiting of 2 to 4hrs and you will waste hell lot of time. 3. On weekends they close the ticket counter by 02:00 pm and won't give the tickets so plan accordingly 4. There is no online tickets so don't fall for any info given by public. 5. It takes only 7 to 10 min to reach at the top of the fort with the rope way. 6. Return ticket charges are 315₹ 7. There are concession for senior citizens but to get concession they will require to show the valid id proof 8. This is private Ropeway so they don't listen to anything 9. There is only 2 ropes on which 3 each carts which carry 12 to 15 persons per trip which makes the delay and cause the huge waiting list. 10. As per me this Ropeway isn't safe as if the rope is broken it will collapse as there is no alternative rope for support or anything else. 11. Rope way ticket counter starts at 07:00 AM Try this on your own risk and plan properly before visiting the Raigad

If you visiting Raigad during Rainy season and post it ..kindly call them and ask if it's working or into maintenance mode. We had to wait for 50 + mins for the same to start..due to Maintenance issues. Even though it was Saturday but it was empty enough during 11 AM. Ropeway hardly takes 5 mins to reach on top and same to come down. You can buy tickets online or offline by reaching at base of same. Officials might ask for Govt ID. For verification if required.. so kindly carry one. Ropeway tickets are available in 2 types.. 1. One Side Journey. 2. Two Side Journey. In case of clear climate ..seating capacity is 18. In rainy they reduce seating capacity to 12. No need to get worried or hyper due to height phobia as All carts are well connected and safety precautions are taken care by Ropeway management. Kindly do not make any unwanted movements after seating inside cart.. do as per guided by organizer available at Site.

You want easiest way to travel to top of the fort than hop on in the ropeway car. It is safe and just takes 6 mins to reach at top otherwise if you take stairs it would take between 90-120 mins. The view enjoyed through this journey is amazing. The cable car has a group of 3 cars which run along and back to back. The cable car timing starts at 8 am and closes by 5 pm. This timing differs as per the season and crowd movement. The cost of ride is 320 both ways and 190 single way. The cost is pertaining to height of the visitor. If it is below 4 feet than it is free and higher than than chargeable. Senior citizen gets concession but need to show proof of age to avail the same. Overall a beautiful ride but only 5 mins!
