One of the best waterfall near Pune. Due to heavy wind from opposite direction water from falls reverse back to top giving it the name reverse water falls.
Location - 2 3 hrs from pune depending on weather and traffic. Wk ends and monsoons are filled with tourists.
Access to falls - Falls has got various view points( front view from opposite mountain, top view right from where falls drop, bottom view etc). You should decide where to go. Most visited spot i ll guide here one should go until a place called Khireshwar where you can park vehicle and start trek.
Trekking - easy to moderate trekk depends on whether you are beginner or pro. Take 30min to 1hr for regular trekkers. Once u park Vehicle your trekk starts from Shiv temple. To reach temple u should cross river ( be careful and assess properly depth nd speed) when we went it was upto knee level. Once you cross visit temple and proceed to trekk, follow trekk trail or take help of local guides available near temple(charges 100 to 500, negotiable). After 1 hr you ll reach the spot from where u can notice the beautiful waterfall opposite. One should carry water, snax, choclates, first aid, rain jackets. Flat trekk and no inclinations, beginners can do it.
To reach top of fall - start point is shiv temple, instead of crossing river, just follow the left trail without crossing amd 1 hr trekk you will reach the top. Bikes are accessible upto 80% of road, last 20 have to walk.(** Heavy rains increase water levels so be careful)
To reach bottom of falls - one shud travel further on malshel ghat road until a village called Saware and start trek . This trekk is difficult and risky in monsoons as you have to cross river at multiple levels and need guidance.
Over all this falls is worth the visit and lake side camping options available. I suggest pre booking and we struggled to...
