The Sahyadri Tiger Reserve was then estimated to have nine tigers and 66 leopards. Chandoli National Park is located near the Chandoli Dam between longitudes 73°40' and 73°53' E and latitudes 17°03' and 17°20'N near Sangli in Western Maharashtra. It is located at the junction of Sangli District, Kolhapur District, Satara District and Ratnagiri District. It lies between the Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary and Radhanagri Wildlife Sanctuary and forms the southern part of the Sahyadri Tiger Reserve. The historical places of the park include the 17th century Shivaji's Forts, Prachitgad and Bhairavgad, of the Maratha kings Shivaji Maharaj and his son Sambhaji Maharaj. Ruins of the Bhavani temples palatial buildings in Prachitigad and Kalavantin vihir depict the ancient glory of the Maratha Empire. Most of the protected area was used an open jail for the "prisoners of war" of the early Imperial Maratha Conquests during Shivaji Maharaj's rule. Sambhaji Maharaj used Prachitgad as an observation point and recreational place.

As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, I do not have specific information about a "Sahyadri Tiger Reserve - Kathi" in India. However, I can provide you with some general information about Sahyadri Tiger Reserves and their significance in India.

Sahyadri Tiger Reserves: The Sahyadri Tiger Reserves are a network of tiger reserves located in the Western Ghats of India. The Western Ghats are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are known for their rich biodiversity and unique ecosystems. These reserves aim to protect the critically endangered Bengal tiger and other wildlife species.

Western Ghats: The Western Ghats are a mountain range that runs parallel to the western coast of India. They are known for their lush forests, diverse flora and fauna, and numerous rivers and waterfalls.

Tiger Conservation: Tiger reserves in India are dedicated protected areas where efforts are made to conserve and protect the tiger population. They also play a crucial role in conserving the overall biodiversity of the region.

Kathi: Without specific information about "Kathi" in relation to a Sahyadri Tiger Reserve, it's challenging to provide details about a specific location or reserve with that name. It's possible that "Kathi" refers to a particular area or section within a Sahyadri Tiger Reserve, but I do not have information on such a designation.

If you have more specific details or if "Sahyadri Tiger Reserve - Kathi" is a location or development that has occurred after my last knowledge update in September 2021, I recommend consulting official government sources, wildlife authorities, or recent news articles for the most up-to-date information about this reserve...
