Sane Guruji Rashtriya Smarak — Attraction in Maharashtra

The Sane Guruji National Memorial Trust has developed a camp site on 36 acres of area near Goregoan, Raigad of Maharashtra. The camp site is surrounded by very beautiful hills. The surrounding of the site is green for all the seasons of the year.The site is connected to to 'Goregoan Road' Railway station of Konkan Railway and also to Mumbai-Goa National Highway (NH17) by a well maintained tar road. Auto-rickshaws are available from 'Mangaon' and 'Goregaon Road' railway station and also from 'Mangaon' and 'Goregaon' ST bus stand. The site is well equipped to accomodate around 200 students at a time. Various schools from Mumbai and Pune, colleges from Maharashtra and Gujrat are regularly conducting camps at the sites. Sane Guruji Rashtriya Smarak located at Wadghar near Mangav in Raigad Dt. of Maharashtra is a place located very close to Mumbai Goa highway as well as Goregoan Rd. station on Konkan Railway. A 36 acre lush green plot with eye catching scenery awaits for the visitor. One should not miss to visit an extra ordinary exhibition describing life of veteran Sane guruji. The site is well equipped to host about 300 persons at a time for both lodging and boarding at very moderate rates. One can think of range of activities starting from a simple visit of 2-3 hours to organising camps of 2 to 6 days. Smarak is like an another home for me. I've been there to attend 'Yuva Chhawani' camp and fell in love with this place after that. This Smarak arranges lots of social camps, social activity programs throughout the year. This Smarak area is surrounded by beautiful and eye soothing nature and beautiful Sahyadri mountain range. Smarak area has 1 office building, Camping Ground, 2-3 Dormitories, Guest Houses and 1 canteen and Sane Guruji Bhavan which is close to the entrance area.
