Sautada Waterfall, located near Jamkhed city, is a scenic destination that offers a peaceful escape into nature. The drive to the waterfall is quite pleasant, with well-maintained roads leading up to a short stretch of off-roading. Fortunately, even this off-road segment is manageable and doesn’t take away from the experience. The location of the waterfall is truly stunning, nestled within the forest area and maintained under the jurisdiction of the Forest Department. To reach the base of the waterfall, visitors must descend approximately 300-400 steps through a forested path, which adds to the adventure and natural charm. Along the way, there is a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Rameshwar, offering a spiritual touch to the journey. Unfortunately, when I visited, there was no water in the waterfall, so I didn’t go all the way down. However, even from a distance, the view was breathtaking. It’s easy to imagine how magnificent the site must look during the monsoon season when the water is in full flow, and the surrounding greenery turns the area into a paradise. One major downside, however, is the cleanliness. The area suffers from significant littering, with plastic and garbage even found near the water. It’s disheartening to see such a beautiful place being disrespected. Awareness and responsibility among visitors are crucial to preserving this natural treasure for future generations.

Awesome place to visit in monsoon. Nestled near the waterfall, Rameshwar Temple is an ancient shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, holding immense spiritual and cultural significance. The temple’s traditional Hindu architecture, adorned with intricate carvings, adds to its historical charm. Visitors are drawn to its calm and serene ambiance, making it an ideal place for meditation and self-reflection. During Maha Shivaratri, the temple comes alive with devotees gathering in large numbers to offer prayers and seek blessings. Its peaceful surroundings, coupled with the soothing sound of flowing water nearby, create a truly divine experience for pilgrims and visitors alike.

Best waterfall to visit. A must in the rainy, winter season. Huge waterfall, descend 350 BIG steps for the temple and pick a small side road from the right side of water to get to the waterfall point. Just right after the stairs end and before the river pool starts. Prabhu Ram has visited here and Put Shivling here. 1300 year old Rameshwar Mahadev temple. Facility of water, snacks, corn, lemon, etc available at the start of the point. Note: Climbing back while returning, BIIGGG 350 stairs might be a concern for senior citizens having knee problems. Otherwise my 3.5 year old son climbed very well.

Sautada is a place in Patoda taluka and the waterfall on Vincharana river here is famous. The river Vincharana, which originates in the hilly area of Patoda taluka, flows further and falls into the valley from a height of about seventy meters at Sautada. Here in the valley Lord Rama and Sita built a temple of Mahadev. This temple is known as Rameshwar

After the Shravan rains, one can witness the supernatural sight of a beautiful waterfall falling on the river at high tide. The ancient Hemadpanthi Mahadeva temple at Sautada Rameshwar, which is known as Mahabaleshwar in Marathwada, and the deep valley next to it and the huge waterfall falling from a height in that valley, should be observed and filled in the heart in the true sense of the beauty of nature. Indeed this beauty opens up more in monsoons and this place is definitely worth visiting...
