Sawatsada Fall is a monsoonal waterfall in the vicinity of Chiplun, in the Ratnagiri region of Maharashtra, India. It is located 4 kilometers from Chiplun Bus Depot and 4 km from Parshuram Monastery. It is among Chiplun’s popular tourist destinations. It’s a thrill to explore the numerous hidden beauties in Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri area.

Its unique and untamed beauty, which ranges from a gorgeous beach to lush forests, captures the emotions and makes a wonderful film. Among the least popular destinations in this area is Sawatsada Waterfall, a stunning natural marvel that should be included in every trip to Chiplun. The Mumbai-Chiplun route offers a great view of this...

This spot is a hidden gem and incredibly easy to reach—just a 10-minute walk from the Mumbai-Goa National Highway. It’s a perfect little getaway for families, friends, and even kids. While there’s no dedicated parking area, you can park your vehicle along the roadside at your own risk.

The atmosphere is peaceful and scenic, making it ideal for a quick nature escape. You’ll find local vendors selling fresh corn near the waterfall, but you can also bring your own food if you prefer a picnic-style outing.

Pro Tip:-Avoid weekends if you’re looking for a quieter experience—it tends to get...

Sawatsada Waterfall is located right off the Guhagar–Mumbai highway, just a 500-meter walk along a well-paved path. It’s a large, scenic waterfall, and the walkway leads right to the base. The mist is intense, like heavy sideways rain, so umbrellas are useless. A raincoat is recommended if you want to stay dry while enjoying the view up close. There are steps that take you closer if you wish to take a dip. When we visited, the water was muddy due to heavy rains, but it’s likely clearer in drier weather. A must visit spot if...

This waterfall is right next to the highway and you can spot it from quite a distance, it really stands out. It’s honestly one of the hidden gems along the Mumbai-Pune highway. There’s a super convenient parking spot just off the road, so you can easily pull over. You can walk right up to the waterfall, hang out for a bit, and just chill. It’s a great little break from the drive, especially during the monsoon when it’s flowing beautifully.
