Morya! Shree Chintamani Ganpati Temple at Shree Shetra Theur is reverred as auspiciuos 5th Ashtavinayak temple. Devotees believe that a visit to this reverred place fulfills their wishes and blesses them with peace of mind. The Shree Ganesh idol is self manisfested and covered in Sindhoor Lepan. The idol faces east, and is situated in a wooden gabhara. The temple entrance faces north and the premises inhouses shrines of God Mahadev, Shree Vishnu Lakshmi ji, Hanumanji. Premises also has a Bhakt Niwas for devotees accomodation. The temple is currently under the administration of Chinchwad Devsthaan Trust. Outside the main temple premise, there is a Vithal Rukmini temple also. Shree Shetra Theur is reachable from Pune station, therefater cabs, auto or state run buses. Temple is approx 25- 30 km from Pune main city. Wagholi bus stand that runs PMT buses is close by. The temple is closeby confluence of Bhima, Mula and Methi river. Expect long queues on weekend and festive ocassions such Maghostav, Bhadrapad Utsav, Madav Rambai Punyotsav, and Sankashti Chaturthi (4th lunar day from Full moon). It was known fact that Saint Morya often visited Chintamani temple on Sankashthi Chaturthi. Later the Peshvas developled the temple further especially Peshva Madhavrao I.
