Shri Karanjeshwari Devi is the family deity of families with surnames like Patwardhan, Gole, etc. This temple is a place of annual pilgrimage for them, as well as for special occasions like a wedding in the family to which the Devi is first invited, after Ganpati Pule's Shri Ganesh who is the Prime Deity of such families, Navratri, Deepavali, and other festivals. The Mandir is barely 40 mts. away from Chiplun, and easily accessible by car, even rickshaw. It is set amidst lush green fields, mostly rice, and coconut trees, so that the short journey towards it is very soothing to the soul.
